| I'm taking a break for a while. I can promise you guys that I'll be back some day, but atm, it's not working out. My setups fucked up, and I don't have the dough-stacks to get Brt's + wheels to go with them just so I can fingerboard in peace because china wides suck. Thus, making fingerboarding not fun at all. This isn't my only hobby/pastime/etc, so it's hard putting in a lot of money cuz' everything is expensive, and brt's and brr edition wheels are like $90. Going on here just makes it worse for me, knowing I can't fingerboard. Sooooooo, yeah. I'll see you guys soon. errr Not too sure which emoticon I should use haha |

| I'm not quitting, just taking a break. Its just that I can't fingerboard. And no, I'm not gonna be on here really, it just makes it worse for me. And thanks for the offer Danny, but no thanks. I think this will be good for me, and when I do come back, fingetboarding will be more fun, and I'll realize how much I miss it. |

| you can fingerboard NO ONE NEEDS BRRS TO FINGERBOARD i wear kids these days are wack they think they need to have the best stuff out there to do something. i bought my brrs when they first came out and they are so fucked they have to be super glued on be cause evey screw hole is stripped and my bushings are shit cause they are coated in super glue my tape is completely gone ive wore holes in it and i dont have any more but you dont see me pulling money out of my savings account to go get some do you? nope cause i make the best out of what i have and thats the way ive always been and you dont need brr ed wheels i have china whels and in all honestly i cant tell the deference. i hate how kids are these days its either top of the line or you arent going to do something and to stop fingerboarding because you dont have "professional equipment" disheartens me and i bet a bunch of people on here who probably wont speak their minds because they are afraid they might get banned hell i cant count how many times ive been banned lol but seriously china wides and wheels work perfectly ive never had problems out of my wides but brrs thats a different story sorry for my rant but stuff like this kills me |

I think you misunderstood what I said. First of all, I know that nobody needs brt's to fingerboard. I don't have/never owned the best stuff out there, and I've been fingerboarding for a while. I never cared for the "best" stuff out there, because I always thought my stuff was good enough for me. Then my trucks bushing's break. I get a new pair. They break within a day. Not wanting to waste my money on cheap bushings, and not having too much money, the only option I'm left with is to get brts, if I want something that's gonna last me. What I hate about trucks is that there aren't any middle priced ones. It's literally cheap stuff, or the best out there. Now, keep in mind, fingerboarding isn't my only hobby. It doesn't make sense to be spending all this money, when I could buy a new skateboard for the same price. I'll admit it, I love skating more than fingerboarding. I can go out on a sunny day, and skate all day with my friends, which I find more fun, and I'm getting some exercise And I'm not quitting, I'm literally just taking a break to save up money, because I CAN'T fingerboard. I've been on this for too long, so if I missed anything else, I'll just add that to my next post. |

Sad to see a fellow fingerboarder go Gosh I'm not quitting, I feel like a lot of people think that. China trucks just don't really cut it for me anymore. I love fbing with loose trucks. I love them soooo much, if I ride tight trucks, it's just not nearly as fun. And having my trucks loose doesn't work too well with china trucks. |

| Try getting those SS bushings from No Comply. They aren't tight but they aren't too loose. Probably one of the best things I ever bought FB related. Plus it comes in like 5 different colors. |

Not wanting to waste my money on cheap bushings, and not having too much money, the only option I'm left with is to get brts, if I want something that's gonna last me. What bushings are you using? If they break within a day, that's a good cause to complain to the company you bought them from and ask for a replacement. If you consistently break the same brand bushings, try another brand. I recommend No Comply, Flatface Teflon and Ytrucks Viton bushings. If you like the default BRT bushings which are quite hard, maybe go for some Flatface Teflon bushings. - stevenfilms wrote:

Close Up G4 trucks can be bought separately at Swat.cz and many people overlook them. Close Up were the original innovators in developing fingerboard trucks. They were the first to make their own metal trucks with flush kingpins, single axles, silicone bushings, metal washers and stuff. I'll also promote Close Up trucks as an affordable truck with decent features that's significantly better than China trucks and priced much cheaper than BRTs/Ytrucks. Close Up G4 truck features: Single axle 29mm width Rectangular baseplate Kingpin does not stick out of bottom of baseplate Different painted colours - grey, black, blue, red Hanger branded logo 2 models designed for bearing wheels and one for metal core wheels Unique truck shape design Different shaped silicone bushings for top and bottom bushings Conical washers that perfectly fit the bushings Pivot cup is not a hole Mounting screws are long so it's good for mounting on all decks (I also know you get random spare bushings, screws, nuts and washers in the completes, not sure if you get them with only the trucks) Only 180CZK (9.46USD at the time of this post), not including any shipping costs. Available here: http://www.swat.cz/maloobchod/fingerboard_trucks_closeup.phpI have many sets of these trucks and I'm really happy with them. But that's enough promotion of my own sponsor haha, I think it's a valid reason for doing so though. - stevenfilms wrote:

And I'm not quitting, I'm literally just taking a break to save up money, because I CAN'T fingerboard. I've been on this for too long, so if I missed anything else, I'll just add that to my next post. So you can follow my suggestion with those trucks and if you can't afford them... I'm sure you must have some TD/China plastic bushings you can use until you can afford some other trucks/bushings? That way you can keep fingerboarding and not lose any skills. |

| Yeah but I can only buy things online with CIM haha, but I'll see if I can find Close-Up trucks. Do they work well loose? |
