| How hard it to establish yourself on youtube with fingerboarding? I used to film skateboarding but quit, wondering if it would be worth it to buy a new camera to start filming some fingerboarding |

| Well if you make good videos and are actually good and stuff, get your stuff recognised on here and other forums, maybe get featured on some websites if you're good and get some mad exposure as you start off! It could go like that...or you could just end up with 300 subscribers who only subscribed to you for "sub 4 sub" and 10 views with poor quality webcam videos and can be sponsored by Havok FBS or something lol i'm just saying that you gotta be good and in it for the right reasons, and the youtube shall welcome you with open arms! |

| HOW TO BE SUCCESSFUL ON YOUTUBE
- Stop trying to be sucsessful on youtube.
- Make friends with people and interact with mates on the forums... You're friends are probably going to subscribe to your channels so you don't have 0.
- Focus on making original and creative videos that let people peer into your world of fingerboarding... Fingerboarding is a personal thing and everyone approaches it differently, the goal of your channel is to let people peek into what it's like to fingerboard with or as you.
- Just have fun making videos and learning how to fingerboard/film/edit without asking people for subs / comments / likes and you will slowly gain subscriptions if your videos are good.
- Never PM people asking them for subscriptions... I've got a couple of these already and if you are that desperate that you are sending me a PM for subscriptions I'm not even going to consider opening your channel.
This is just my opinion but I think if you follow these rules and are at least somewhat decent at fingerboarding it's quite easy to get a channel with 100+ subscribers. |

| Upload often, but upload good videos.
Upload videos you think people want to see! For example, I realized that there weren't many in depth trick tips around, so I decided to make trick tips. I think it's safe to say my approach worked for me. Now, you need a new approach for yourself.
So, what's it going to be? Maybe outdoor spots, maybe great editing, maybe uploading "one banger a week" kind of videos... get creative and most importantly have fun with it. |

Also I agree with the regular uploads thing too. I don't even have a fucking HD camera and I just checked and I have 180 subs... not a lot but not too bad either. |
