| So as the title says I am planning on starting a new Fingerboarding company. Luckily I will have my Step Dad to assist me, as he owns his own construction business.
I plan on making the following items and for each item I will give a brief description of what I will do. I've never done any of this before so advice will be appreciated.
1. Polyurethane wheels - multicolored, options of bearings So for the wheels we own a lathe already and I recently ordered some Polyurethane sticks, tubes, call them whatever. I'm not sure how these will turn out, but hopefully good. It would be nice if you could drop a comment saying what you look for in wheels when you buy them
2. 5 Ply wooden decks - hand painted vener, graphic on bottom, a lot of lacquer My Step Dad actually has a interesting idea on how to go creating our mold which I won't discuss, but I'm fairly certain that the decks will turn out good. For a while I will play around with the mold settings but once I get the right mold, I will begin to make decks in my free time, which unfortunately thanks to highschool isn't too much. Sometime in the near future, I might try to make carbon-fiber decks.
3. Ramps/Obstacles - I can't describe how these will be as my Step Dad will make all of these. I remember a few years back asking my Step Dad to try to replicate a Black River ramp as they were too expensive for me to buy, and to my surprise he pulled it off pretty darn well. I'm confident that my Step Dad will be able to construct a lot of different ramps due to his over-imaginative mind.
Thanks for reading this, now the most important part. Please, I repeat please post what you look for in wheels, in a deck, in a ramp, etc when you order them. This will help me greatly. I'm not too sure when we will start selling, but if you post a genuinely good response with advice, I will most likely send you some promotional items when we startup. Thanks for your time! |

| Man. I'm not going to even comment. You spelled "veneer" like vener. You probably don't even know what that is. You and your dad are probably in it for money.
Man.... People don't accept that. They really don't. I am starting to make ramps/obstacles as-well along with my 4+ years of experience already in deck making.
I would give you advice but....
Keep posting. Get to be known. Be friendly. Then post some pictures of your decks/ramps/ whatever really.
Then you'll receive some good comments. |

| Thanks Forgiven I appreciate it. I actually did make decks for a brief period back in '09. They weren't the best but they were ride-able.
I understand I'm not known yet so that's why I'm trying to post a bit more.
I'll probably update this thread in a week or two once we begin making products. |

My advice is that you don't think too much about the company part, and just makes the stuff because you like to make it. Then post some pictures and if people go bananas then start selling it |

| Just try.
Success or failure is secondary. It's your contribution to the scene that matters. |

You need to actually put words that relate to the conversation in your post man. I know you're Deshawn from whatever company but forum rules are still forum rules. |

That's not being a dick matey. I was just stating exactly what I thought. Then I simply gave advice afterwords. It was being helpful. People need critcizm. Not compliments and smileys in every post and nothing negative. If he showed a picture of an "ok" deck, 9/10 people would say looking good! The people who want to help him would stand out and help em with some altercations. Or would you not do that? I would. |

| You give him shit for misspelling veneer, and then you conclude that he don't even know what it is, and that his stepdad is in it for the money.. Thats being a total dick..
I had nothing against you, but lately your posts have been making me sick.
Your advice was good enough, but you say it like you are better than everyone.. |

| Man I don't know how you get that impression. You're just agreeing with everyone when you are saying that probably. I type how I type.
And they make you sick? Avoid it? I'm not going to stop my writing techniques so you can get over your cramps. It's just the troof. If you're going to start barfing over my posts that's really kind of your problem.
When ever you see my name just skip it.
But I am sorry that you get the impression that I am better than anyone. Just read the words. I should not be perceived like this. I don't want to put out that image along with everyone else here as well.
One thing that could contribute is that I never put smileys. Ever. Smileys more so even out the mood. Like I could say that what I said and a  and you guys would think I'm sincere and trying to help.
I don't do smileys. That could very well be a reason why there is miscommunication.
Sorry mate. |

| Haha, it's all good Forgiven, I take all criticism to move me forward.
So a quick update: we just started working on the mold and I think that within a few weeks we could easily have our first products. The mold is actually not bondo-based and I personally find this is better because in the past I found that bondo falls apart after a certain amount of time. |

Actually, "studying" should be more action than words needed. I do not throw my name around as if it means something. I am just another guy on a forum. It wasnt spam, it was entirely relevant and technically all i would have said. But, okie dokes. I will revise my post; Study. And that would be my post. |

| Also, not to start any trouble. https://fingerboardhq.darkbb.com/t4220-forum-rules < theres nothing about what should be posted, limit characters or anything. If theres another rules section, please link so that i can see it. I always read the rules, know what goes into making rules as a mod/admin so i wont be breaking any. So, not to cause trouble, as i said, and with all due respect.. all should be in proper order on my part. On topic; I stick with what i said, study. PM me if you need more explanation. |
