Haha, i'm so sorry finn. I've definitely improved the quality since then. See here's my deal, I used to make decks wayyy long ago, back before I was on any forums or anything. Just recently I got back into it, ordered a big ol roll of veneer, the whole thing. So now I'm making these boards out of my garage, in extremely primitive ways, all by hand. In the beginning of this process, yes, some of them came out terrible, some came out good. There have been boards that I made for people that were so bad I just threw them out and started over, in fact there have been many of those. Over the past few months I've been finding new ways to work around some problems with proportion and shape that I used to have. For example, my holes used to be horrendous! I realized that, and I came up with a system that would give me perfect holes every single time. So it's these little learning experiences on how to solve problems that makes the boards better and better. As of right now, I'm very happy with how my boards are looking, I won't lie though they can always be better. It's all a process for me, and I think I'm getting there. |
