| Hey yo, just put this thread up to show a little bit of where I am sitting at and a few more pictures from very jank and odd angles. Mainly on the kickers: I have 4 types of kicker. Haha. All depends on what you want really. I think these are going to be very limited edition as I think I will discontinue the ones with rails/angle ect. I think next time around I will just do a standard kicker. It's irritating to get the angle iron and rails just right, glue each piece on and hold it, etc. So if you want a limited edition unique looking kicker, I'd say pick one up. I have a personal one I have been seshing and it's unbelievable how fun it is to grind up the sides and actually grind on metal instead of the wood. It's cool. Now onto the rails, yes a lot of people have been wondering if we are doing those because I know in the very beginning of this I said I was going to try to do rails. Well, YES! I am going rails! And doing them in a wide load of colors. Man, I don't know how much money I spent/rails I messed up before I got one the way I wanted. I probably,.......Idek. I think I stayed almost a whole day in the shop from 5 in the morning to about 2 in the morning practicing welding, polishing, painting, chopping metal. And it still didn't do much for me. Haha. Welding and getting things just perfect, I tell ya... Haha.. Practice really does make perfect. STANDARD- 11inches LONG- 14inches Height Comparison. It is almost as high as a ff bikerack, a couple mm lower. So it's about 2.2inches. A perfect height for me. ______________________________________________________________________________________________ Now those marble benches I posted quite a while ago, YES I am still making those but those will be in very limited quantity as those are hard to make. I think I have about 12 or so. I'll get better pictures up soon. Honest tho, When this company launches, I guess I really don't know what to expect. ATM this has been my job and I guess, what I've been doing everyday. I mean David, from airflo is hella busy and he just does rails. So myself doing all of this with rails, decks and everything else? Haha. I might need to find an employee which brings me onto my other topic. Some time in the future. I will have a JOBS tab in the footer of the site. I will set up some type of program and you can do arrange of different things. Mainly leading into the area of graphic design, and idea creating. If my life starts to revolve around this company and hand making all of these things I will definitely need a couple other people taking care of a few things that take up a chunk of my time essentially. Just gotta see. Hope you dig the stuff. Even more pictures TMRW! UPDATE: BENCH SNEEK PEEK PICTURES EVERYTHING WILL BE RELEASED TOMORROW!

| Your rails look like the same thing as Airflo Rails.
Benches look cool, though. |

| But doesn't every rail that has a colored base and leg look like an airflo? That bascially makes it a look-alike. By the colored bases.
I however have a few more colors so for example, if airflo does a purple based bottom. It will look like a diamondkey rail you could say.
Diamondkey rails are also a little higher and 1 inch longer. |

| Distribution? We're not thinking about that quite yet. The shipping price for the retailer would be horrendous. |

| Yeah I just saw this thread. First of all as far as other companies go as far as rails, I will be the first to admit that I said some stuff I should not have said to Rogelio from Cali Irons. Ro has my respect, and I believe we got off on the wrong foot, and I did apologize to him. That however, has absolutely nothing to do with what I am about to say. Personally, I can respect a rail company that is original. But really dude? Every single color there was a color I currently have, or have had in the past. (with the exception of yellow) I guess for the actual rail aspect, Yes I guess anyone can go and make rails like that, and if you want to get technical, I have had designs similar to other companies with simple standard style rails. But There are plenty of companies making standard rails. Be original man, I started the feet and leg coloring, and I used all of those paint colors as I said with the exception of yellow. Yes your rails are taller and apparently an inch longer, but that isn't the main point. Really dude, I don't wish to bust on you or call you out, those are not my intentions, and I don't want anyone who is reading this to think so. Your benches and palettes look pretty original from my standpoint, but the low box looks similar to the box 3 dimensions from Blackriver, The mini ramps look very similar to the winkler mini's (minus the extensions) and the kickers overall dimensions look close to blackriver kickers. All I'm saying is be original! The more creative you are, the more you innovate, the more you'll be well respected.
Fingerboarding is all about the love man! Keep continuing your company if you have a passion for what you do!
I believe that is all I have to say for now!

-David Smith Airflo Rails I was to the understanding that you did blue, orange and red. I had no idea that you have used the other colors so sorry for using your signature colors. I was going for a standard looking rail. It's pretty hard to innovate a standard 2 legged round rail. And now saying my miniramps look like a winkler mini? Lol. Well, of course? It's a mini-ramp dude. Haha. And my kickers? Haha. I mean, this doesn't end. I made all of my wooden ramps so that they would be different from brr. All the dimensions are different. If you somehow feel me as a threat to your company. Make something else to overthrow us man. I'm here to have fun and am here to stay. I'm sure your intentions are equal. I mean I have a few other rails coming out that aren't like yours. These are just a couple pictures. You haven't seen everything yet. I respect you as a person David, but.. What I am doing right now is to simply just feel out what I am capable of doing and what I can bring to the future. I am planning some pretty innovative things. I am going to be having a never ending continuous line of fingerboarding ramps/rails/obstacles. Always making revisions and creating new things, sometimes not bringing back the old. |
