| I hope this was the right section, but anyways... I'm making a grind box/manny pad, and I wanted to know if Gorilla Glue would work for putting on the coping, because all of the epoxy that I can find are small amounts. |

| Oh I have hot glue nvm then. Would 3 in. C clamps hold the box well when gluing the top piece to the sides/supports/legs/bottom/whatever it's called? Not for the coping and wood part. |

| Sorry for the double post, but no one will see this. Is it ok to use hot glue for putting wood together? I would use wood glue, but I don't have enough clamps. |

| I wouldn't use hot glue to connect wood together. You can use wood glue without clamps, just hold it together for 15 minutes or so and then put it in a safe spot to dry before connecting the next part. |

| I used hot glue at first, then I just scraped it all off and used wood glue. I have to get the other side though. But I only have two legs, because the other two are uneven. I used aluminum coping on one side and steel on the other. |

Uneven? "Measure twice, cut once." Words to live by. |

Uneven? "Measure twice, cut once." Words to live by. No, my cut was uneven and I cant find the measuring line. Edit:It was my first time using a jigsaw so that was probably why I messed up. |

| Jigsaws are for more curvy cuts, should of stuck with a Mitre Box and a nice Hand powered saw. |

Well, my miter box didn't fit with the wood. Yes it's for more curved cuts, but if you clamp a piece of wood to your workpiece, then you just move the jigsaw along the wood and you gotta straight cut. It also makes fine straight cuts without the helping wood thing. Edit:What is the best wood for ramps? Oak, pine, or birch? |
