| I have heard tht clear coat is ok, i use lacquer.
Mainly just paint it or spray it on, Make sure you wait roughly 2 hours between every coat You should need 4-6 coats |

| The deck shouldn't smell that funny after the lacquer is dry. I usually use fine steel wool when I lacquer. I apply in thin coats and lightly sand each coat. Make sure you don't sand too much, you only want to remove the small bumps form the lacquer. Also i forgot to mention that before i lacquer, i sand the bottom ply with VERY light sand paper to make it super smooth. |

| It smells funny because you most likely aren't letting it dry all the way. |
