what size veneer do i need to make boards and what type of stores stock it? in australia especially! and also foam tape... where can i buy this stuff in bulk! ? please help!

The best veneer should be 0.5 mm thick (i think) and can be bought on ebay. Tape can be bought on alibaba

Ye 0.5mm is really hard to find, it depends what hardware store you buy stuff from. I buy all my veneer from eBay or I go to my local woodworker..

Well simple on alibaba type in bulk fingerboard tape. No idea on the veneer since I'm in the US so I only know US places.

still no luck with finding anywhere that sells veneer, i tried buntings warhorse but no luck. can anyone link me with site that ships to australia or is in aus and not over priced because i am making decks to sell

I suggest you look for carpenters in your area, then you should phone them and ask if they have veneer. If your are lucky you can get their scraps for a good price!
