| Dunno what superdead is, mate, but I'd recommend him buying a skateshop blank deck. As for the width, get him to try out people's decks with different widths to see what he likes. My first board was a 8 and even though I have size 9/10/45 feet, I actually prefer 7.75s and haven't had an 8 since but I couldn't change it after I bought it.
As for trucks and wheels, it's probably fine getting the cheaper options if it's from the skateshop itself.
Reds bearings are pretty good and they do last a while so yes, get them.
I am a sticker whore but make sure they don't take away the stickers that you get with the products and ask for new ones! Seeing as someone is buying a whole complete and especially if it has a blank deck, I'd say it's reasonable to ask for some stickers.
Edit: Also, Speed Demons decks are budget graphic decks but they're some of my favourite decks I've ever used and I've had 3 which only cost me 20 quid each (including grip). 2 were from a buy 2 decks, save 10 quid promo where they were 25 normally, the other was from an eBay auction. |

| Yeah even if hes ballin with money, id reccomend getting a blank deck, some redz, any trucks, and any wheels. you dont know your preferances when u get your first board. Its better to start off with average sizes and average quality products, to know what you want to try different on ur next board. Like he prob wont know whether to get soft wheels or hard ones. Or soft busings or hard. What grip he would want. He really just has to experminent My first board, i just got what i thought looked nice together haha. |
