Not china, There is also something else that's diffo from other wheels. He will reveal on saturday. It has something to do with the bearings.

The bearings aren't shielded... That's not good... The shield keeps small things like dirt and sand from getting inside the bearing and locking it up. i'm surprised that he didn't run into problems testing those. Even more surprised he's willing to release wheels that aren't shielded.

I have no first hand experience with unshielded bearings, except for a bearing or two wear the shield has fallen off.

What i know is that Flatface and Substance (to name a few) have made wheels for quite some time now, and i don't see any undshielded bearings in their wheels.

Do they fit tech deck longboard trucks

my oaks had unshielded bearings and they worked fine.

ive never had a problem with unshielded bearings......in fact all the ones ive used seem to roll faster and longer than shielded ones......but they dont last as long.....the only problem i could see is if people use them when fingerboarding in a bag of flour. then they might get jammed....but nobody is that stupid are they?

its all about the cost imo.

if you want the best quality wheels, you put shielded bearings in them.

as they are duals having unshielded bearings just make the wheels affordable to produce.

shielded dual bearings are like double and a bit more the cost of unshielded.

i mean look at flatface duals for example. pricey.

i dont think they were 100% designed by you though Peter. ...more like 'i like big white square wheels' if thats designing them......then put the order in on for 'how ever many sets'

if they were produced in house by Northwoods i tip my hat, but i highly doubt they were.........but then again, not that that is not a problem. all the companies do it.....at least a 'Northwood' design has been sent in for manufacturer.....not just brought from Alibaba.

Jared makes the wheels with the help of a friend. I don't know to much but everything willl be reveled soon. I am still new to this.

Its all about the price.

I bought a deck.

I also have a concern for unshielded bearings. TD Expert Sk8 bearing wheels are unshielded and they won't last very long. I've also had 2 No Comply V6 wheels with 1 and both shields missing but there have been no problems as of yet since I rarely use the setup they are on.
