I have two questions on these so called bad words. I can't seem to grasp an answer and I wanted to share these questions with the community.

Question 1. Who made these "Bad" words? What makes a word bad? Why does it offend people if its just a word?
Question 2. Why is it "cool" to curse? I curse only cause i have a potty mouth (lol) and i can't control it. But people tend to be all like "Fuckin' shit man! I'm so damn cool!"

I know the origin of some words but I get what ya mean.. I wonder who deemed a certain list acceptable and other curse words.

As I am British, i generally just swear because its a fucking bad habbit.

emphasis and shock value. And its really an idea thats portrayed by those words. If you say fricken instead of fuckin, everybody knows what you meant, and its really a delusion that one is more polite than the other. imo
however, i am of the opinion most "courtesy" nowadays is thoughtless tradition... there are some who are polite to be polite, but most just because they were taught.
and it seems cool to curse because it shows rebellion in the form of defying expectations. However, there is a blatant disrespect for expectations, and then there is a disregard. Disregard is kind of when its a part of vocab; but that can come from an initial attempt to stand out that forms into a habit, as opposed to a conscientious use of profanity, if it is to be labeled as such.

Words in general have no meaning whatsoever. As William Shakespeare put it, "A rose by any other name would smells as sweet."
