First impressions:
I ordered 4 decks from Ryan for my store and he sent me an extra one to review.
The decks come packaged in a small bag with a business card, a button and the deck.
The ply colours are really great and the decks looks professionally finished.
One thing i noticed was that the decks are not 100% the same.
I don't consider this a problem, but i think its worth to mention.
The kicks lean a slight bit to the side, but thats about the only flaw in the craftmanship.
I probably only noticed this, because i have been struggeling with the same problem on my decks.
The lacquer is great and even.
Performance:
It took me quite a while to make the deck perform as i wanted it to. One reason was
of course the shape, which is very different from my usual preferance. The deck is also
a bit shorter than my other ones, but the main thing was something i cant even point out.
The fact is that my Temple deck performs very different from any deck i have ever tried
In the beginning i didn't really know if i liked it, but as i got more and more used to it
it became a good thing.
In other words: Once you learn to control your Temple deck, you will be able to do some
sick as tricks!
I don't really know how to describe this way of performance. I'd recommend people trying
it out. The deck has loads of pop, so the tricks get kinda high, but at the same time you
are allowed amazing catchs.
As an end to this review i will say that Temple decks are a steal. For $13 you get a deck that
performs just aswell and better than a lot of expensive decks out there. The shape is medium
kicks and low/medium concave, so it's a deck that most people can use.
If you haven't tried a Temple deck yet, i suggest you either buy a custom from Ryan or
pick up one of the special Lovedrug Editions from my shop.
