Hello, My suggestion is that you should have a Member Upgrade, Like you have
Blue Upgrade-
*This would include allowing you to change your name, your actual username being blue in colour and other things like that.
Purple Upgrade-
*This would include allowing you to change your name, your actual username being purple in colour and other things like that.
Green Upgrade-
*This would include allowing you to change your name, your actual username being green in colour and other things like that.

E.g. Oreo that is the example for the username colour change.
Also, the other things could be like you can change your username every 2 weeks/

I personally think that this is not really necessary.

Admins and mods have coloured text to distinguish them from other users.

Frequent name changes would be open to abuse.

The only thing I can see to be approved is another grade, VIP, for people knowned by the forum team to be good poster, actif in the forum life, nearly like a mod, but without any power.
With a new section, only viewable by VIP, Mods and admin. Only for the forum team to share someprojects to trustfull members.
But this is admin decision

this is something Ive wanted for a while....it makes perfect sense.

the problem is.....Harvey basically. (the owner) because in reality he does nothing for this place, and all the work has to be done by the admin, (which is Kerry)...and he has alot to do already...what with unite/fingersized etc etc.

if there were more active admins instead of all the mods, more could be done to the forum. but Harvey does not want this.....or didn't last time we had the talk ages ago.

I've been wanting to promote some more mods for ages now, I think this place really needs it. If anyone has any ideas, make a thread about it in fbhq section and hopefully that can happen soon

I actually really like the VIP idea it could be real nice

I don't think this forum really is that big to warrant a VIP section and it might promote elitism on FBHQ, something we've never really encountered. You would also have to clearly define what you would use the VIP section for.

Something similar to FFI Transactions (more secure and higher value transactions) but combined with a section talking about things not suited to public would be a good idea.

I have also thought about a distinguished user title/name colour and it would probably go well with the proposed section.

I agree we need new mods/admins.

Previously, I suggested BrianC although I think the idea was killed.

Two more names I'd suggest now are Ironfingers and Banlyst. Two lesser suggestions I will throw in are Grendel and sweetbabies.

Anyhow, I think there needs to be some new public and mod-only discussions for the discussion about new mods.

Thus reminds me of a dream I had last night, I forgot my pants, and I was at school. Everyone was staring, then Xi got a new job at my school, he was a careers adviser/cleaner. He didn't have any spare pants for me though.
