| Hey all. So I'm starting a project and I'm looking for grip tape, trucks, and wheel suppliers. Hardware too, maybe? Nothing too fancy, just basic stuff. Name of the project still undecided, but ideas have been formed.
Comments/specificities: -Peter, if you're out there, you have first dibs on grip tape -Grip should be uncut -Wide trucks please! They don't have to have good bushings, I can take care of that. -Classic wheels definitely wanted, as well as regular shape
I don't want really expensive products for right now, my start-up fund is limited.
So far, I'm going to have medium concave and kicks decks, 31mm and 33mm by 101mm, exotic veneer, graphic, and metal bottoms. Specialty decks on their way, so get excited. Different shapes and materials; I'm going to be experimenting quite a bit.
I'm currently building a local team, and I will be sponsoring in the future. Heads up, sponsorship is going to be mostly based on personality, style, and production quality. I don't really care if you can nollie tre sex change fakie 5-0 fs bigspin out (although that would be really sick). I just want to see you having fun and giving fingerboarding a good rep.
I will periodically be holding local competitions at the Wakefield, Duke street, and Arlington skateparks, so please contact me if you are interested in supplying obstacles for the courses. Larger scale rendezvous plans in the D.C. area for the future!
Youtube channel coming soon, as well as a Facebook page and website.
*PLEASE READ THIS* I am not in this for a profit! I will be selling all my products at the lowest price possible that will still allow me to continue production and expand my reach. I am purely trying to UNITE! the fingerboarding community as well as the skateboarding community. The company model is also going be heavily promoting local/esoteric musicians and bands on the website and during competitions. Hopefully art in general will be a major piece in my productions.
I think I covered most of everything, but I'll keep you all updated. If you are interested in any part of this project, please let me know! I want this to be an open ended experiment, with the most people involved as possible.

| There are enough china suppliers out there. Some are expensive, some cheap. We all profit from selling it, but as for me and a lot of other companies, we use it to bring down the cost of our other products (decks fx.)
You mention to stock 6 types of decks. Where will you get them from? Do you have the money to have such a large stock? |

| I make two a day, my stock won't be huge, I will mostly be focused on social networking. I only have one mold, but I've made a few templates. Like I said this is going to be a project, not a company. I won't be so much stocking as I will be having a multitude of individual products. As for the non-profit aspect, I'm going to be putting all of the money back into the project. Of course there will be profit, but I will try my best to make it an investment. And I would rather not have china suppliers, I want this to help build contacts and other people's businesses. |

| And a lot of what I will be making/selling will be distributed locally, which is why I want to have suppliers |

Seems like your project is very similar to mine. I can probably help you out a bit. |

| Now that I look over it I didn't say that I was going to be making the decks, so that's understandable. That would be awesome! Not sure what would be helpful at this point in my production, aside from helping spread the word. Any help would be appreciated, including suggestions, so please feel free to throw stuff out there. BTW I'd like your band to be one of the ones that I promote, if that would be cool with you. |

| Ok.. So my first help to you will be a tip.
What about starting out a bit slow? How long have you been making decks, do you have any pictures of them? What do you have to offer that no one else can beat? |

| As far as that kind of thing goes, I'm fine. I'm not throwing everything out there yet. I'm going wait for my website do be finished before I post any pictures, and I'm still finalizing designs and graphics. This is just a plan, its not all set in stone yet |
