| Or is the scene getting kind of whack, kids that just started fingerboarding spending hundreds of dollars buying nice completes with Blackriver Trucks and stuff and kids who have been fingerboarding for about 3-5 years have wooden decks with wide trucks. Do you ever notice that? |

| Usually the kids who get the nice completes right away are the ones with rich parents who don't mind spending 145 dollars carelessly. That, and the kids think they need to have the greatest stuff to be good. A nice deck, china wides, and a nice set of bearing wheels not China wheels would do it for me, but I was lucky enough to get my nice setup from a friend in trade for a few things. |

| I think for any hobby it shouldn't matter on skill level but on how dedicated the person is. I still really don't see the need in brt or ys but that's just me speaking. I think as long as you're dedicated to something and are willing to drop the cash on something then you should go for it. |

| honestly...sure you can get away with china wides, but i can notice the performance difference with using brts/ys.
also the new school is 32mm decks so china wides are too thin. (ideally)...their are only wide brts/fvckers/indys/soontobewideYs that cater for the wide decks.
and the indys fall apart after 2 weeks fingerboarding.
pro trucks are great if you can afford them. i couldn't go back to using china wides after using brts.....although i do think brts are massively overpriced and still have too many flaws. |

| The only thing i get from Ytrucks that i don't have on the setups where i use china trucks is the smooth connection between bearing and hanger. But i get that on chinas aswell when using backless wheels. |

| he's talking about me isn't he... HAHAH playing... but if they wanna use there money for cool stuff let um... because that stuff will always come back on the forum for sale and at a cheaper price for us when they get bored. brts are way to expensive.. but its because there not exactly mass produced making production costs alot higher.. i bet you they don't make 20% profit off them after expenses... might i point out... im technically a newbie (again) been 6 years out off the scene and when i saw bearing wheels custom trucks and wearable graphics.. i full on blew my load in my pants and had to buy them... thats my excuse anyway its all new to me |

| That bold writing is annoying :/ yeah if you have the money why not buy expensive trucks unless your not dedicated to the sport (like my brother) he went and bought a "pro" berlinwood but i knew i would end up with it |

| It doesn't bug me that beginners buy expensive fingerboard products, what bugs me is the induced mentality that expensive products render other products obsolete.
Sure, some expensive products are good but that doesn't mean others aren't good. In fingerboarding, individuals' preferences also must be taken into account. I've tried a load of products now and I've come to realise that you don't need a €100 setup to be good or enjoy yourself. The quality of many cheaper products can be as good as expensive ones.
I'd ride a Pure over a Berlinwood NM. Close Up wheels over Oaks. No Comply wheels over Substance. |

| If people, not just kids, have the money to buy pro setups, let them. A real pro setup, not a China setup with tuned wides as some companies sell. I think people should wait until they know that they'll enjoy fingerboarding and stick to it before buying a pro setup, but people are better off with a real pro complete, RATHER THAN A SHITTY CHINA SETUP. Please, stop writing like that. |
