err, my mum doesn't mind.. My brother thinks it's interesting what I'm doing but he hates the sound of it, but I hate the sound of his friends breaking things but I don't go on about it. And I don't know about my Dad, he helps me make things but I don't know if he likes me doing it I know he hates the sound as well.

My gf hates it, although i think she's secretly intrigued by it too, caught her a couple times trying to Ollie etc. I think it's the repetative noise that gets her. It's all good though as when we get a new kitchen fitted, she gets plush marble work tops and i get hours of silky smooth surface to sesh on

Loving this thread Billy. Mom: Supports me a lot. Gives me money for it. Loves it. Dad: He used to hate it. Now he's okay with it. Yeah. Even if my parents hated it, I would still fingerboard. Becuz i do it for myself not for them, and I do it for fun cuz thats what fingerboarding is all about. Don't listen to other people. If you like it, you do it. Ignore the haters.

My gf likes it don't know about my parent bit old for a grounding lol Get shrink wrap.. Find shrink wrap that fits over your wheel snugly, then cut it perfectly around your wheels, then shrink it with... FIRE!! (or any sort of heat source, fire really isn't recommended....) That's the best way to muffle the clacking of the wheels. |

Yeah, I fingerboarded on books to muffle the sound. This backfired on me when I went to CS3 and found out I couldn't skate on normal tables.

My parents used to hate it, but now I think they don't really care anymore. My oldest brother thought it was really dumb, but he doesn't really care any more either, and I've caught him trying to do some tricks on my board a few times. My other brother actually fingerboards with me sometimes, we usually have rail seshes.

My mom thinks its childish and always asks me if I'm too old for it and stuff. She doesn't understand thats its fun for me. My dad is really creative and loves customizing his motorcycles so he likes how I can customize my fingerboard and how unique everything is. He's more supportive. My brother actually fingerboards too, but he rarely does anymore. He can't do many tricks but I tryto encourage him to keep trying and give hime tips and stuff. My dog likes it though Great thread
