| Hey guys. I just got my first Berlin Wood today.
My previous deck was a Bollie new shape... I purchased Bollie Trucks to go along with it. I moved the Bollie trucks over to my Berlin Wood, and noticed that they rode like SHIT on the deck... I know that there is supposed to be a difference in the angle of the kicks between the nose and tail, but the tail on my Berlin Wood seems to be shaped very small and thin... the wheels stick out pretty far beyond, making it seem like I have super wide trucks. The deck is about the width of a tech deck.
I ordered the white "Anker" deck... idk, I guess I expected the deck to be wider? The bollie trucks seems VERY wide for the deck, and the tail of the deck is shaped very pointy almost...
Maybe I should just post pictures or something, but it doesn't feel nearly as wide as I feel it should. Are all Berlin Woods like this? Should I get regular Tech Deck trucks, not wide trucks for the deck? Maybe I should get a wide Berlin Wood? |

| Yea man, post some pictures of the deck, I've heard that the craftsmanship on berlinwoods can sometimes be bad..but the tail is suppose to be smaller than the nose. Put some pictures up and someone should be able to help you out! I'll give it a shot once I see some pictures And also, if you're still not happy with the deck after you've been helped, hit up RyanMarshment or BrianC, they sell decks for 13 dollars shipped. Haven't got to try either personally, but I've heard nothing but great stuff about them. |

| I'm going to post some pictures, but I think it's just bad craftmanship on the deck. The holes for the screws are slightly off on the tail end, which makes the truck sit slightly off. I don't think I can send it back because I've already set the board up and everything, and noticed the flaws once I set the board up.
Kind of pissed off and regret spending so much on a fingerboard, lol, I was much happier with my 20 dollar Bollie deck. |

| seriously, BRR will fix any problems like this. They happen very occasionally, and I guess you just got bad luck. I have soo many flawless BWs in my collection- they're well worth it bollie new shape's are 30mm, and you ordered a 29mm deck. Sounds like it might be 28mm though, which is why the 29mm trucks will stick out on it. contact blackriver with pictures and I'm certain they'll just send you a new one. Trust me, when you get that you'll love it, Berlinwoods are amazing |

| Thank you for the responses. Yeah, I ordered it from Blackriver, it's really hard for me to get a picture where you can even see it... I have a better way of describing my "problem" with it, it seems like the tail is more narrow, in the sense that it's almost kind of pointy... like the nose has this full, round shape, and the tail gets small and is kind of narrow.
I know that these new shapes are supposed to have a higher nose, but I don't know if it is supposed to have a smaller tail... it's just uncomfortable having this narrow, thin tail.
Does this sound abnormal? If so I'll just contact Blackriver and try to send a picture, I just don't know if this is like a new deck I just need to get used to.
Thanks again for any help. |

Thanks again for any help. if your only problem is that the tail is smaller and more pointy, yes, they're supposed to be like that. I think you get used to it quickly |

| Like others said, send some pics here and we can sort out if there's something wrong in it... If there is contact brr and they will most likely replace the problem by sending a free deck.
And the tail is supposed to be like that, little bit pointy and smaller than the nose. |

| Ok thanks guys, I think I just hate this deck then... it feels so thin and small compared to what I'm used to, and it feels really uncomfortable with these trucks. Do people usually use wide trucks with these decks?
I have obsessive compulsive disorder and bipolar disorder so I get really upset about things that don't matter, lol. Tthanks again |

| Most decks try to mimic skateboarding by having a slightly smaller tail than the nose... If it really bothers you I've seen people ride fingerboards backwards but I think if you try to get used to it you will notice it's easier to pop with a slightly smaller kick. You should really post pictures though a lot of us have set up many fingerboards and would be able to tell right away if something is wrong. Cheers Mate! |

| I can get used to the shape of the tail and stuff, but how skinny it feels is what is bothering me. |

Lol wtf man? They would send him a new bw if there would be something wrong with it. But that berlinwood is just how it's supposed to be. You can't see the wheels from the top of the deck, so it's 29mm wide, just like it's meant to be. The kicks are rounded like they're meant to be. It might look like it's little bit too skinny, but that's because the trucks are also 29mm and wheel looks like it's sticking out because it's little bit wider than the spare space on the axel of the trucks, if you know what I mean (probably not ) SO THIS BERLINWOOD IS JUST LIKE IT'S MEANT TO BE. |

| That is normal and you kinda get used to it. This is what non-wide decks are like Maybe they dont normally have a shorter tail but still |

Did you measure the width of the deck? |

| Yeah, the deck is 28 MM wide, it just feels off to me, if it looks right in the pictures and that is how it's supposed to be shaped, then I guess I just hate this deck and need something wide. But idk. It's really frustrating. |
