26 was the original width, other decks just got too wide sick deck and couldn't agree more... decks of today look like black sanitary towels with wheels
Lmfao, that's the best comparison I've heard! I'm highly against super wide decks, they're pointlessly wide IMO. |

| there for people with cocktail sausage fingers.. 29mm was huge back when i was on the scene these 32mm decks just kill it now.. tho saying that foam tape was looked on as a newbie solution to grip and skate grip was the only creditable way to go... look how things have changed lol

| nah they don't sell them any more due to some legal issue iirc. Only way to get a wide would be to go to the BW 'factory' and get one made. |

| I planned on doing a review for Woodywood Fvckers but I can't do it justice because I changed the original bushings and kingpins out with ytrucks bushings and kingpins, so I will just write out my feelings here and maybe copy them to a individual thread so others will see. Now if you like riding loose trucks then fvkers are the way to go, they have alot of give while still being relatively springy and responsive. I, on the other hand, do not ride loose trucks so I could not enjoy myself as I once did with my ytrucks. Now even with the highest tightening possible, through the original bushing and kingpin combo, it seemed that the truck would remain loose. After some thought I decided to check the kingpin and saw that the pin thread was very large. (I hope that makes sense) I am trying to say the no matter how much you tighten the kingpin it would only go so far down into the baseplate. I remembered that ytrucks kingpins were threaded from bottom to top so that it would still have contact with the baseplate no matter how much you tightened while also keeping a solid grip on the baseplates themselves. I stripped my ytrucks of their kingpins and bushings and put them on my woodywood fvckers and now they work like a dream for me. Now for a quick/cheap solution you could always buy a set of fss kingpins or something similar and replace the woodywood one's with those. (they have more threads on them similar to ytrucks) As far as setup goes because I am using oak wheels (single bearing) I did use wheel washers on the trucks for spacing although I did not need a wheel washer on one wheel, I don't know why... Lastly to anyone looking to change the kingpin out with another one be sure to put the new kingpin in at the right angle or you could mess up the alignment. Woodywood fvcker trucks aren't some 3 dollar TD trucks they are 40 bucks so exchanging kingpins without multiple retries would be great. Any other questions, just ask. |
