| Hello everyone! I just want to say something (very serious stuff) This year in August in Sweden it will be a big skateboard event, and also a little fingerboard event. And it seems like the fingerboard stuff this year will not be big at all. I would looove to go to that contest/meetup and you can help the Swedish fingerboard scene if you live near Sweden and maybe could come to the contest. So just send a message to: https://www.facebook.com/betongcupenAnd say something like: It would be awesome if you could have a big contest this year on Malmö ultra bowl and maybe some sponsors too such as Blackriver Ramps. Thank you |

| to translate what I said on facebook into english so everyone can see what it means and we can have a discussion here.. why don't you make a competition yourselves? you could talk to BRR or other companies and get sponsorpacks, and THEN talk to the guys from betongcupen. Then you'd have an idea of what could happen. Also maybe they don't have time or money to make a competition. I'd help with a sponsorpack from fingersized if you do something!
There are loads of great fingerboarders in sweden but you need to d something yourselves so there can be more competitions. If there are only parks from malmö city + coyote, a small competition would be still really fun and help the scene in sweden.
See you there! What I'd do? 1) plan what the competition would be like. Need any help with that either email me on kerry@unitefingerboarding.com or email me. 2) get a rough idea of how many people would be going 3) message betongcupen guys and ask if you would be able to organise a small competition, explain how it'd help the scene a lot and that you'd be organising almost all of it yourselves, all you'd need from them is the okay to do it and the malmö g7. 4) when you've heard back from betongcupen, message BRR and other companies, outlining not only that its a competition you want to hold, but that there would be tons of fingerboarders from all over scandinavia coming to visit the event, and it'd really help the scene in scandinavia to unite and progress itself. 5) make up flyers (at least an electronic one if not printed) and get the word out. 6) turn up and fingerboard and eat sweets from the giant ICA around the corner and have mega fun might sound like a lot of work, but if you knuckle down and get on with it a lot of that could be done in a few days. END OF THE DAY.. messaging a bunch of busy people saying 'hi, please do something for us for free' isn't really going to get you anywhere. You need to do at least most of this yourselves, but I promise it'll be worth it. |
