| Hi everyone there is a thing that has been bugging me How do you determine the winner in a fingerboard contest/championship I really have no idea it just seems so weird when they shout out WE HAVE OUR NEW WORLDCHAMPION!! At FF and I have no idea what's goin on Please tell me below how the winner is chosen  |

| what do you think? 1st round - ca 40 second runs from each person. team of judges pick the best, they go through to the next round. 2nd round - either another round of runs, or 'x amount of tries to do x amount of tricks'. fast fingers is the latter. most consistent/impressive goes through to the next round, again decided by judges. 3rd round - generally a game of skate final. I doubt I have to explain how a game of skate works, and the winner is simply the winner of the game of skate. simple really |

| Skate; two skaters take turns to 'set' a trick. When one person sets a trick, the other skater then has to do the same trick. If he fails he gets a letter. That carries on until one person has 5 letters (SKATE). Make sense? |
