Anyone have experience with adhering veneer or laminate onto plastic? 9F8B91C1-9927-47CA-ADE9-48ADD761D912_zpsstt5xfxa

This is my absolute favorite TD ramp that I got for cheap second hand. I want to build a back platform for it and possibly cover the thing itself in either veneer or laminate and put a metal lip on the down ledge. I gues what I'm asking is:
1) Has anyone ever modified a TD ramp this way and have tips?
2) Would contact cement work on the plastic, or some other adhesive?

I would rather not try and build the whole thing from scratch, nor would I be too thrilled if I messed it up with a bunch of adhesive only to have the veneer or laminate peeling up from all directions. Just seeing if anyone has thoughts or ideas.

If you have enough time and supplies maybe a bondo mold would work? Make a copy of it from cement?

Wow, that is completely the opposite of where my train if thought was going, but I like your idea even better! It won't mess with the original obstacle itself and I could build a base for the back to mold with it as one solid piece of concrete. Thanks for the awesome suggestion!
