How do you guys fingerboard?

Flat finger placement?
Finger tips?
Or does it depend on the trick?

I think it just depends on your style and what trick it is.

This soo much. However though a tip I can give you is always have it on the FINGERTIPS. Not in the middle of your fingers or your palm.

My stance with a heelflip is a lot different than a hardflip

Naturally when putting my fingers on a finger board my fingers are somewhat bent. Not like straight up and down. But not completely flat either. That perfect in between feeling.

The only time I really move my fingers into a position that would look similar to a skateboard footing is for treflips and nollie treflips. Otherwise I always have them in the Ollie position it seems like.

You can also change up the look of the trick by positioning your fingers differently. For me, if I want to have my treflips fast and low to the ground, I'll put my pointer finger further back than usual. If I want to pop them higher, I'll leave my fingers in the usual position (front foot a bit more toward the backside edge, back foot slightly more frontside).
