I want your feedback because I have a long time hand and metacarpal injury that prevents me from ollieing with 2 fingers, but I can land into grinds with 2 and land my tricks with 2. I have been fingerboarding like this since I started when tech decks came out. Is this an issue in a contest or if I notify judges would it be acceptable? I have so much fun fingerboarding and am actually pretty good. What are your thoughts??? If I try to Ollie with 2 fingers my hand literally shakes so am I not able to compete now or what???!!?!?!

Do whatever you require to have fun. That is the biggest thing. Yes, riding with three fingers is considered a style issue by every fingerboarder, but no, I don't think it interferes with trick technicality and difficulty. In a competition environment, you can notify the judges, but whether or not they judge you differently is up to them. Injuries suck, just do what you've gotta do to make the best of it.

There was this kid that had no fingers, just a stub. He posted a bunch of videos, and he was REALLY good. I think he has since deleted his videos, but I'm sure you could find them somewhere.

Thanks for your input Taylor and I guess I am going to be a permanent style issue!! I just started a YouTube channel for fingerboarding and I have one video so far my name is Kgfingerflip. I just hope peeps aren't too harsh on me for my style!!

Whoever could judge someone for something they cant stop has serious problems. Just have fun with it
