Anyone interested in sound recording or just music in general?

I basically do it for a living you can say, Ive toured with bands like KISS,Nickelback, The Eagles, Bruce Springsteen and ACDC in the summer!

I get perpetually lost in music.. dabbled in recording and shit. At one point I wanted to get into some kind of career in music production or studio tech..
Sounds like you got a dream job. Not really into ACDC but shit id go if I had the opportunity.

i record some hardcore and powerviolence concepts almost every day.
first i record drums and then the guitars, but damn i want some panning cymbals and toms in my drums..

i dont know much about recording an dont have much equiptment but i recorded my bands latests cd on garage band an it came out pretty good considerin

Sounds like a fun job man. I played in a band for about 4 years during college. We did some touring all over the east coast and recorded in a few studios as well as engineered our own using the campus music studio. I did sound at The Empress Ballroom (now the Heirloom Art Space) here in CT for a few years, played and worked with a lot of cool bands, and worked stage crew for the college theatre department. Two of the guitarists from the band now work for ESPN Sports doing sound. There are times that I wish I stuck with that path, but that was a whole other life ago now Now I only get to do some acoustic side stuff with some of those guys. Holy shit man sounds really good, pleasing to the ears. I have a guy I record some tracks with and shit when I'm bored, sadly wont be seeing him as I'm moving to L.A after the summer tour with ACDC to perhaps open up a studio doing freelance stuff for like movies, not something I'm good at but there is so many ways to get in the industry its unreal.

Totally different than the full band stuff we were doing http://www.purevolume.com/theghostsonata but equally as fun to write and record (I think I just enjoy the process regardless of the style). LA should be an exciting move. Theres a lot of opportunity out there and you should do well with your background and experience with such big-name touring bands.
