Yup so from every deck I've tried of any walnut burl like this, it's been really soggy, weak, and had a bad shape. I'd tried making these before and the same thing happened. So I experimented with different options till I came up with this proprietary deck construction which features a walnut burl bottom ply, and no compromise to the deck quality. Enjoy!
