| Hey guys, Today I am going to introduce Dooby Decks. To start off with, my name is Ray and I have been making fingerboards for around 4 years. I first started off making my own bondo mold. Those decks did not turn out the best, of course, it's a bondo mold. What do you expect? Haha. From then on I just practiced shaping for a while. About a year ago I had a mold professionally designed and created onto a disc. The designer then took the CD to a CNC Machine and had it cut out. I got it and was so happy and amazed. Thinking, "man, I am going to be able to crack out some sexy decks." I then practiced making decks for about 6 months. Using all my law mowing money to buy veneer, glue, lacquer and such. I did own Fantasy Fingerboards. The reason I changed the name is because of Facebook. I tryed making an account called "Fantasy Fingerboards" and it would not let me. I figured because it had the word "Fantasy" in it. Something to do with a pornographic name I thought is why they wouldn't let me make it. Idk it was just a thought. I then decided to change my name, something catchy. My friend thought of Dooby Decks, and I was like "sick, that's awesome!" He then told me what Dooby meant...Lol. I don't smoke or nothing. I have never any done drugs or anything of the such, it is just a name. It has rhythm and smoothness. Please check out my decks!  |
