Yeah I like Valentines Day. Me and my girlfriend went out. I just got in, we went out to dinner. We got appetizers, drinks, and meals I had to shell out 80+ dollars, then an additional 20 bucks for the waitress. Not to mention the 60+ I used on her a bracelet and a item she was eying at Hallmark Gold Crown store. Needless to say we both really put thought into it she got me an i Pod G4 32 gb.

Me and my girlfriend didn't go overboard this year. But we had a nice evening together.

Me and my girlfriend decided ages ago valentines day is dumb, so we did nothing but spend the evening together like we always do. It was nice, as always I don't need a day of the year to tell her I love her because I'll do so anyway, and some tacky ass teddy bear with a love heart and a giant card isn't going to make a difference, haha XD I dunno what its like in the US but here its just a consumer driven holiday that makes people in relationships buy pointless crap, and single people feel like shit. I get that historically it had a very good meaning, but thats long gone.

It wasn't really the whole Valentine's Day thing that spark the cash being dropped in such a large abundance Kerry.
My girlfriend and I are at different schools, so I can say I don't have the luxury of seeing her every single day or a live in GF therefore anytime we get to be together is a blessing.
We communicate but just not enough so I don't know.
It's affection not the holiday that drives us to go a little over board. It's more so the fact that after this week she'll be again over 100 miles away, not to mention she is well worth it.
The reason for me posting was because I was in good spirits for having a rare opportunity to spend some much needed uninterupted time with her.
But I get what your saying too.

But I don't really get valentines day tbh. I mean if you have a bf/gf and you're in a loving relationship, why should you need a special day to get together and give each other presents and have a nice time? Surely you should do that anyway if you love the person enough. Lol

I understand in some cases its not possible like Ryan, and yours' was Kerry but some people just see at as a day to put effort in when they should be doing it already . Lol

its just a publicized event for love filled idiots to buy extortionately priced chocolates, cards and flowers and its just another day for single people to feel like no one likes them when one day they will most likely find the right person
