| get the top of a baked beans can, the sharp thin bit. And scrape all the crap off of it, that works for me. If it's still not smooth, you gotta wax it up my friend, and don't be shy with it either  |

| Get 220 grit sandpaper a gently sand the top of the rail, add a thin layer of wax and make sure it's even. If this doesn't work just scrape the wax off with an id or credit card and then add more fresh wax  |

| sanding will work, but is just going to make it worse once it rusts over again. if you use wire wool or metal polish it will just remover the rusted parts, and not make it any worse once it starts to rust again. |
