PostSubject: UB Ramps and Stair-sets (an idea...lets see if it works)   UB Ramps and Stair-sets (an idea...lets see if it works) EmptyFri Oct 21, 2011 1:52 am

I had posted about trading a stair-set i made for some brr trucks and mikkolangot suggested i should try selling some sets to get enough money to buy some brr 2.0's

UB Ramps and Stair-sets (an idea...lets see if it works) Photo-13

Ok, so it can be made for leftys or rightys ( i will be making them as they are ordered)

Made from red oak, the stairs are SOLID, feels so good to ride

Dimensions:
Ledge (5in high x 22 in long x 3.5 in wide) with a 10in rail and aluminum running the whole ledge

Stairs:
Top pad (8 x 10) middle pad (8 x 4)

The whole thing is 11.5 x 22 x 5

TONS OF FUN!

To get people interested we will start the price out at $85 (INCLUDING SHIPPING)
OUT OF USA SHIPPING MAY VARY (due to the large size)

P.M. me if interested

Kinda confusing to me correct me if I'm wrong, 11.5 inch wide x 22 inch long x 5 inch depth. is that correct?

And honestly it looks nice, but I'm not sure for $100.

It looks very nice and well-built happy I understand that shipping something that big is ridiculously expensive, but I could build something quite similar for around $10. Good luck selling them though! They look high quality and sturdy!

it help cut down on the shipping cost, you should hollow out the stairs, i have made stairs like this and they are VERY heavy! i hollowed out the center of it but left about an inch allll around and it became much lighter and i could bring it places very easily, and it didnot effect the sturdyness in anyway, and 100 bucks is a little steep for everything in that picture its about 40 bucks total at my local homedepot so i would sell small plazas like this for about 60 or 70, therefor your making a good profit for each sale and still being able to make them.

With 60$, you could buy an Aphlikshun Halfpipe.

With 75$, you could buy the Aphlikshun Spine Ramp.

With 34$, you could buy the Aphlikshun Step Up which is very alike to this one.

I'm not plugging them, but compare this product with a tried-and-tested company known for their beefy ramps. You seem pretty shady too.

Lower the price to 20-30 and it'll make sense. Hollow out the center to save shipping and all.

Oh, rail should prolly be sold separate.

The 65$ offer made you shady in my books. Don't do that.

Sorry for being a cynical downer, just being constructive.

Dude your an idiot, first of all it's red oak the amount of wood alone cost 30 dollars, I looked at those ramps you were talking about and none were close to the size of this ramp, but I do totally agree that when a new company starts and they want to gain interest they lower the price for an opening sale and I just get freaked out and totally sketched by it. Lol your dumb.

looks good! well done!

but to send that outside of America will cost you the 65 dollars you are asking....quite possibly more.

it looks well made etc, but to save on material costs and shipping costs it needs to be hollow.

you shouldn't really be saying this to a valued member of the community ^

he made a well educated and sensible post, giving you things to think about, it did not require that reaction. Also, it's you're in this case, not "your".

anyway, nice stairsets, but i wouldn't us the rail on top as it's just a door handle and they scratch up really easily.

happy

If you must, buy cheaper wood! The type of wood you use won't really matter as much as long as you can sand it to it's optimal quality.

Also, please don't call me an idiot without checking your syntax. It makes you look like a bigger poo poo head than what you say I am.

I was just being constructive, so please don't respond to me like that. I said it in the most unbiased way I could.

I'd just buy a BRR stair set with $80. I'm sorry, but it's waaaaaaayyyyyyy over-priced.

Am I the only one that likes the rail? xD
Well, on the other hand, I guess it would be more convenient to sell separately since you could put it in the same spot anyway..
As stated in many other posts, the first thing that caught my attention was how heavy that thing is going to be. Wayy too inconvenient to ship and even more inconvenient for traveling shocked
Other than that though, this set looks sick! If I had the extra money, I'd definitely consider looking into a purchase (given that these two problems were fixed). happy
Good luck with it! I wouldn't think it would sell that well the way it is in the first post, but it definitely looks well build and it seems to have a lot of potential.
