Hey guys,
I was wondering if it is possible to re-lacquer a deck as mine is getting some wear on it. I wasn't sure, and i'm concerned about lacquering over the holes and was just wondering if anybody does it or what i should do. Thanks! happy

Damon, look your holes and kingpins will be fine, just lacquer over them and don't worry about them. Just make sure that after you refinish your board to take a 1/16th inch drillbit and 1/8th drill bit to your holes.

Basically all your doing with the drillbits is removing all the excess clearcoat. use the 1/16th for the holes themselves and the 1/8th for the countersinks and kingpins.

I don't suggest using the drill with it though. The best/safest method to do it would be to just turn/twist the drillbits with your hands to make sure you don't fuck up the holes. Also when doing the countersinks/kinpins don't push down when you do em cause you might make them deeper. Just very lightly turn it between your fingers so that it just takes the top part of the wood/clearcoat off.

You could leave screws in the holes whilst you do it. I wouldn't worry about it though if you're using spray lacquer, you shouldn't have any problems. If you do, do what Piller said. Don't re-drill them though... it's unnecessary and you might mess them up.
