They took a big leap with making a new sensor make specifically for the J1 and V1's, it was a pretty stupid thing to do I guess, but anyway. I've had a play with one in store, it's a good alternative to a micro 4/3rds camera (most of olympus' cameras). It's close to being completely plastic, has a few minor problems internally, and all round feels like a lego brick, so yeah, spend the same ammount of money and get an Olympus PEN.
