I've just started mine!

I picked;

Maths - Incredibly hard, like, stupidly tough.
Physics - Alright for now, it's going to get harder later on though.
Graphic Products - Love it, can't fault it at all!
Business - Love this too, not sure why, I just find it really interesting, and I'm good at it, haha.

A good thing to do is to look at what career you want, then look at what subjects you need for an entry into the career!

I did

just go with what feels right - end of the day doing them seems to matter more than the subjects happy

The system in Scotland is different, we do standard grades followed by highers. Highers were a one year course (but they are changing to a two year course) and you did them in 5th and 6th year at school and were able to choose up to 5 courses per year.

In my fifth year, I got 4 highers which was enough to get me into uni to do the course I wanted after I studied Modern Studies (Politics), English, Information Systems and Administration. That year I also studies Maths at the level below higher.

In my 6th year, I knew I was already guaranteed a place at uni so I took two subjects I wanted to pass (History and German) and I also took physics, maths and business management. I passed Business, but failed maths marginally. In my physics exam (I only took the class as a couple of my mates were in it), my school had a policy where you couldn't leave early and if you missed one exam, barring any exceptional circumstances, they withdrew you from all remaining exams. So for my physics exam, I spent two hours doodling on the answer sheet as it was the first exam I had to sit :p

Basically, think about what you want to do in the future. I knew I wanted to do History and Politics at uni, hence why I took those subjects. I took English to help with essay writing and German as I really liked German history and knowing the language makes reading up on it easier.

I took IT and business management as they are just good skills to have. Administration was just a mess around for me, I mainly took it because the teacher was hot

I did Maths, Physics, Chemistry and ICT.

I was good at Maths, Physics and Chemistry in GCSEs... Our retarded school didn't organise a normal ICT GCSE class until the year ours so I took it at A-level.
