| Tbh, being cheap is great, but I think it is pretty shitty that these guys copied flashbones idea completely.I really don't wanna see flashbone go out of buisness because of this. |

| these are 100% illegal I'm sure, there's no way they didn't copyright the design to flashbone bags at least in some way. kinda sucks.
like I think flashbones are pricey to say the least, but outright copying to the last detail is shitty. |

Yeah, I mean if they had put the slightest bit of inginuity into these, I could see myself buying one, but this is straight up ridiculous. I mean, is this company really that dumb that they can only copy? I would never support a company that does that in the small company fingerboard world. |

I checked the price for 2, it says to ask the seller, so chances are that it will go up $15 at a time. And Kerry, maybe its copyrighted to an extent, but flashbone bags are such a stupid price for what they are, there's no way that they cost a fraction of €35 to produce. It's like music, the price of an album is pretty extortionate so we pirate them. |

It's like music, the price of an album is pretty extortionate so we pirate them. They're expensive because no one else is doing them, so they have essentially cornered the market. As for patents, I find it difficult to imagine they hold a patent for such a generic design. It's like suggesting Airwalk have a patent on a backpack made of anti-abrasive material with two straps on the back for a skateboard. It'd be so difficult to patent what is essentially a purse with straps inside...in the end I just find it difficult to pay €35 for a bag that small, when I could get a backpack for a fraction of the price

It's like music, the price of an album is pretty extortionate so we pirate them. Just FYI it costs between £2-4 to get an album printed. That's pr. CD. Before that there is studio work for everything between £1000-50000+. My band has spent £5500 just on making 300 CDs. So i'd say the price of £10 is pretty fair. EDIT: To put this into the bag perspective. If just a tiny bit of what's said about the Flashbone bags are true, then they have been looking for a decent quality manufacturer. These places gives you a bulk buy price, which will get lower pr. unit if you take a bunch. It is very likely that the Flashbone bags have been quite expensive to "make". EDIT 2: I just ordered one, i'll compare it to the Flashbone bag when it gets here. |

Yeah, but as you said, the more units that are produced, the cheaper they will be. Maybe it cost £5500 for just 300, but imagine how much it costs for 20,000,000 units? |

Selling that many albums would place you on wikipedias list of best selling albums ever, so if you are only going to download Usher, Queen, Backstreet Boys and Michael Jackson then your argument stays valid. Other than that, records are sold for a fair price. |

Before I say ANYTHING, I agree with you Mikkel, and as much as I download music, I buy the physical albums when funds present themselves, and I always support small bands that I like, rather than share their music around. However, in terms of large labels, their operating costs are rather small, so cost price of the CD will be minuscule. Overall, including one off costs of graphic design, publicity, and recording each CD will cost little more than a pound or two to make. The costs come from the way that music (and most products to be fair) is distributed. The label needs to make money, so it sells CDs at maybe £3-5, then the shop sells them at a higher price. I do think mass produced music is overpriced, but there's only so far you can drop it. iTunes downloads are kept at an artificial high in order to stop them killing physical sales stone dead. Just playing devil's advocate. I kind've agree with both of you if I'm honest. Also, Mikkel, what type of music did you record? Always interested in little bands |
