| I live in the USA and got a package yesterday from JackLilley and didnt have to pay. When I shipped of course I had to pay like an extra dollar per thing I shipped so I spent $1.22 just to ship some bolts and $2.64 for a deck. |

| businesses don't have to pay customs charges, and unless they're a VERY big company (i.e. bigger than all skateboarding + fbing companies put together), they wont. Customs charges are viewed almost unanimously as the responsibility of the buyer, because, they vary for places all over the world. You pay a shipping fee, and are warned on the site that customs charges may occur.
Flatface don't mark as gifts, because, thats illegal. hes a business. Also, the cut off is 18 quid, because its not a gift.
They don't check names, they just check a few random packages out of the thousands that come though. Generally not small things as they want to charge people money, and bigger things are worth more. So, yea, you've been lucky, as have I all the times I've brought something from ff, including when I got my g7.1s, which came to 35 quid.
I don't know how they work out how much customs fees you'll have to pay, but, I know that theres always a chance you can get it, when ordering from companies, if its over 18 quid. Fingerboarding stuff is generally ignored as its small, but, theres always a chance. |

| all my ff stuff that has to be declared on the packet has been marked as gifts....and im guessing the customs people have cottoned on to all my packages coming through, and have seen my name too many times and thought, 'cheeky bugger, ordering all this stuff' and have charged me... |

| really? They normally don't do that and I've never seen them do that for anyone else.. And, honestly, when you see THOUSANDS if not hundreds of thousands of packages a day, you really think one name showing up once every few weeks is gonna stick in their head? No. Not at all. They just happened to randomly check you, it can happen to anyone |
