I used to be terrible at them, i just practiced them. I guess you could just do loads of 180's till you find them comfortable, so you can easily control where the board goes when you go into the slides.

Get your ollies down. That sorted me. Once you've got your ollies properly nailed, and you get nice and accurate with them then every grind and slide becomes really simple

Haha got my ollies down a while ago seamus , I can do a reasonable amount of tricks into grind etc just not into tail, nose slides |

Well, as someone who can nose or tail slide on demand, the only thing that affects my ability to do them is my accuracy. I could ollie before, I just couldn't ollie accurately enough to get my tail onto the obstacle. That's my only real advice.

Get your bs and fs 180's completely nailed so it gets to a point where its effortless like your ollie ( it sounds like). And just practise the motion of the slide you doing on flatground.

To tail or nose slide, focus your eyes on the nose or the tail of the board during the pop, then you have to look at the obstacle to spot your landing. You have to pop a little higher than to do a grind.
