I have a bad experiece with the s3, i had it a little over a year and the battery had shit out and only lasted about 3 hours before i needed to charge it again. Also, it got much slower over time.

The s3 is great, but my mum has the s3 Mini and within a few months it's already having problems, not sure if it's a similar case with the s4 mini though I have the HTC One S, it's definitely one of the best in it's price range. I've had it over a year now and not had any issues with the performance at all, it's been nothing but quick! It's also got beats audio, 1080p camera with a highspeed 120fps function, and some other cool shit The only real downside of it could be that it runs on ICS rather than Jellybean, but there's no huge differences as far as I know? Depends how up to date you want it haha You could also get the next step up from the One S which is the One X, it's got a bigger screen, a Quad-core processor compared to the S' Dual-core, and a few other upgrades. http://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=4574&idPhone2=4320Both great handsets, just an idea for you

| I love my s3 , there is an extended battery you can buy for it if you think you are going to use it a ton. Idk anything about freezing or lag , had mine for about a year now and no problems.

http://www.google.com/nexus/4/as melvin said. no network lock, works all over the world. £280 for a 16gb or cheaper for the 8gb. Literally the most amazing device I've ever had, it's powerful as fuck, can take a beating from skating and not even chip/scratch (obviously as with any device that's only to an extent, but still..), PLUS it looks gorgeous and as it's a nexus device is always updated to the latest version of android, AND it's not packed with any bloatware like the galaxy s2/3/4's version of android (which imo looks worse and performs worse). Unless you're against android because you're only into ios, you cant get a better phone for the money, and even though it's 3/4 of a year old it's still very respectable spec wise. Sure no LTE but if you have to ask people what phone to get you're not going to notice whether you've got LTE or not, nor really gain any benefit from having it. Here in the uk HSPA+ is lighting fast, ca 20mbps in good signal off my nexus 4 on Three. Like fuck anyone needs more than that for facebook

Nexus definitely a great option. I swapped from an s4 to an iphone 5 and I'll never go back to a galaxy. So if Iphone isn't an option go with a nexus.

https://play.google.com/store/devices/details/Nexus_4_8_GB?id=nexus_4_8gb&hl=en_GBNews as of today.. google just dropped the price on these. the 8gb is now only £160 and only £200 for the 16gb?!?!? you're mad if you don't go there bro. Sure the pricedrop is evidence to prove the nexus 5 is coming but every time you buy a phone it'll be superceded by a later model soon enough, that's the nature of the technology world. AND with a nexus device as soon as android 5.0 lands, it'll be on the nexus 4 anyway as nexus devices are always given the latest updates instantly, even if the device isn't the 100% latest device. Hardware isn't going to change THAT much, it'll just be a bigger screen and new software. When you get the software free.. snap up a bargain and get the nexus 4 for crazy cheap
