| I have had this idea for a while now and I've decided to post it here.
We all know that fingerboarding is close to skateboarding, but it has some limitations due to a person's hands/arms being attached to their bodies.
I've seen some creative people try and do 540's and other huge spins by bending and twisting their bodies, but I haven't seen anything like what I'm about to describe.
The idea goes like this.
Take a ramp which has a slant upward part and a slant downward part like Mike Schneider's Signature Ramp only without the rail.
Mount this ramp onto something that can spin either by a motor or just be hand spun. The ramp needs to be separate from the table on which it sits on yet at the same time be flush with the top of the table such that a person could smoothly transition from the table top to the ramp with no problems.
Now, instead of going up the ramp and trying to do a spinning ollie on the ramp like a fingerboarder normally would this time just do a normal ollie on the ramp, but have the ramp spinning while you do it!
From the fingerboader's perspective they would see a normal ollie on a spinning ramp which is no big deal, but from the ramp's perspective the ramp would "see" a fingerboarder doing a 360 or 540 over the ramp.
So instead of a fingerboarder doing a 540 ollie, the ramp would be doing the rotation. All you would need then is a camera mounted on this ramp to capture the ramp's perspective and there you have it! The very first true 540, 720, 900 or any other pretty much impossible spinning which normally wouldn't be possible.
Another thing that should be taken into consideration is the background when doing this setup. Since the ramp is spinning and the camera is on the ramp then the entire background would be spinning too and thus be blurred. So this would have to be done with a green screen background such that only the ramp, table and persons hand is shown. Also the table itself should have a circular top with the camera in the center of the table so that the table itself doesn't look strange.

| Now if fingerboarding was actually skateboarding and skateboarding was fingerboarding in a different timeline, I could see people using this but in all seriousness, I can't see this being used in a montage. Doesn't mean it's not a cool idea which it kinda is a cool idea. |

| Wait, isn't this titled "True" Fingerboarding? If the ramp is what's spinning, that isn't true than lol |

| Did I really get some face palms here?
This would be a way to do the very first 900 ollie in fingerboarding history.
And yes, these tricks would be real and true and not be an illusion and I will explain why.
From the reference frame of the fingerboarder the ramp would be spinning and the fingerboard wouldn't, but from the reference frame of the ramp the fingerboarder would be spinning and the ramp wouldn't.
From the theory of relativity two people can see the same event and disagree on what they saw yet at the same time neither person is wrong.
Did the fingerboarder do a 900 or did the ramp do a 900? Actually both answers are correct. It depends on what reference frame you are in.

| there is only one problem with your theory. Someone already has done a 900 on a fingerboard...
Josh Jones did it back before youtube was a thing and you had to download all the videos you were gonna watch
Edit: he didnt do it the way youre talking about either though your idea is technically right. |

I could see where you're going with this though and it could work but there is too much work done just to do a true 900 and I don't think anyone will actually put time to do this. |

| If the ramp is rotating, it's not a true 900..... Like somebody said, Josh Jones did a 900 legit, it looked rediculous but at the time it was amazing. It was just a fun thing to do, to be the first, and look, everyone is still talking about it today. I just don't really understand the point of it. Perhaps you should just do it, film it, and post it. Chances are people will appreciate it for what it is |

| That wouldn't be a 900 in the slightest, you'd just be doing an Ollie over a spinning Mike S ramp. You can't apply the theory of relativity to this in the way you did because the fact is there, the ramp is rotating 900 degrees and your hand is staying in the same position. Also if you had the camera in the reference frame of the ramp, it wouldn't look like a 900 because your arm wouldn't move as it does with a 180 or 360, it would honestly just look like a spinning ramp.
