| I was talking the 3rd and 4th. They appear to be going horizontal instead of vertical? |

| I made some more decks.. A bockwood bottomply 30mm. Not sure if it's called bockwood, but that's what I remember my friend calling it.. No matter what the name is, it's seeeeeeeeeeexy. I also made a 32 mm split, and two old school like decks I call bruisers. The smaller one was a test, and the bigger one is probably how I'll make bruisers for now. 35 mm.. Wide enough, eh? |

| Hah, I knew somebody would say that. It was not intended to be rasta, I didn't even notice that the colours was rasta in wrong order until my friend told me, lol. Anyway, thanks! (: |

Btw Grant, it's not wrong if the grains are horizontal on the bottomply, as long as the deck contains 3 vertical grain plies and 2 horizontal grain plies, it's all good. |

In my experience the long-grained plies are stronger, and the deck will come out with a stronger pop if the two visible plies are long grained. |

| I don't agree. Think about it. Horizontal will flex more when flexing the deck from the nose/tail, that's the way the wood naturally bends.
Though it may still be strong if you are using decent glue the pop will suffer. Do it whatever way you want, but there is a reason others don't put horizontal bottom plies on their decks. |

| I've seen a couple FF decks that had it years ago. Well, durability of the deck won't change if the horizontal wood is on the bottom. It'll have the same effect as it would if placed in the middle. A mix of vertical and horizontal will make the deck durable no matter how the plies are placed as far as my physics go. (: |

| Yeah Amanda, I've been in Michaels vlogs a lot more than usual the past days. (:
Well Mikkel, I've only made one deck with horizontal bottom, and it seemed to be just as durable as every other deck, but experiences vary I guess. Õ_x |

| Yea, i definitely try to keep the long grains on the "outside" based on what i have tested. But anyway, if your deck is a 5ply and has vertical bottom, then it'll still be stronger than a 4ply. So it doesn't make the deck bad, it's just not as strong as a 5ply. |

| I see your point, and it's very likely true, haha. At first I just tried to say that it doesn't make a difference really. It's not like the deck is going to snap when you land a boardslide, it's still going to be a solid deck, no matter where you place the horizontal grain plies, so it's not directly "wrong". |
