| I take a tool and put it in over the tape and just press a lil hole. You get a sixth sense for where the holes are after a while. |

If you use a 1/16th size screwdriver from one of these kits and do it, you get perfectly clean holes every time. A perfect circle. Just push it through and push it into the countersink, twist, and it cuts a circle out of the tape. It'll just stick to the screwdriver. |

| I was just using one of the Y hex tools and it kinda worked. Definitely still a botchy process. |

| I use a drill press. Same size as the holes in the board, up from the bottom of the deck. Makes perfect holes, then either just screw your nuts in or use something to make the holes a bit bigger like a tool |

I always wondered about this. But yeah......getting the trucks off could be annoying and then you have holes anyways Im going to try the BRT tool next time, the y hex tool still leaves em kinda under the excess grip. |

| Some people get all technical with files and stuff to make super clean holes.. I gave up and just put grip after the trucks or shove the screw though the tape not giving 2 shits.. |

| I'm with trent. I always do it over the holes. Then just screw through the tape to get to the screws after when I'm ready to change decks. Most of the time I just don't care though and just tape the deck then just put the screws right in. |
