| Well, I'm finally giving up the kitchen counter as forever lost to fingerboarding. So I may as well have something decent to skate, right? Going to get more cement and continue this tomorrow

| First layer of cement! I've given it a bit of a sand down since I took this pic. Need more cement to finish this section off, but I now have a functioning mini ramp to vert! Also, you can just make out I added brick coping to the bank I'm using to hold the form together too. |

| Did you seriously put it right on the counter top? Like it's glued/cemented there? A permanent fixture? |

| Yeah, but I lubricated the surface first so it slides right off Second layer of concrete and it's getting more usable. The angle of the mini ramp is all wrong at the moment though, needs shallowing up, to make it easier to use. Got some coping on it now too! One more load of cement should do it

| Interesting. I was going to say man if you installed that shit on your counter top you just ruined your kitchen. Looks decent! Also looks like you will need to do some sanding too. I like it. Maybe a stair set next time? |

| Yeah, I've sanded it enough to use, but I'm waiting to do the last bit of cementing before I really focus on that. Looking forward to priming it too, unprimed cement is hardcore to ride with oaks! |

| I am bitching too much, sorry man. The struggle is real (first world problems). Where did you get those rails at? I looked at our local hardware store and they had spools of steel that would be good for coping but no straight rods. |

| Heh! A good setup is fairly expensive, but you can get good deals if you look hard enough. You only need one good setup (seriously, it's like playing guitar, you could get a million different setups but you can only use one at a time, right?), so take the time to save for good equipment. I just got a set of X4s for 12.50 off of ebay, for example. That said, no one likes a complainer, there are plenty of people in a worse situation than you. I'm currently raising a child on my own, living on benefits till she goes to school, in a year, but that will be the first and last time I talk about that here! So, back to validating investing in such a frivolous hobby! Sorted a few more things, on the rest of the area. I think I'll be replacing the double bank with a stairset, adding a bank to the far side of the mini ramp and casting a concrete hubba for the 4 set on the right, maybe some other stuff, not sure quite yet. |

| I'm actually pretty well off money wise, I just am very frugal with my money and I feel like I can help others out because I have given away so much stuff. I just bought ytrucks and ywheels last night (new) myself, the trucks have a good reputation but I am interested in seeing what the wheels are like.
That obstacle with the budda between it is awesome lol |

| Heh, thanks I like it, though it may be being dismantled for the greater good some time soon! Ywheels are really good. Very good bearings that free spin at ridiculous speeds, nice material that is grippy but doesn't feel particularly soft. I far prefer them than the winklers I tried a while back, though I still prefer oaks overall. That said, I think that's primarily because I have an orange set and would prefer by far they were white. And I just got some Ytrucks too, used, so far semi - impressed. I like not having to mess around with washers like tdlbs but I didn't get the tool with the trucks :/ So I can't switch the bushings out, and the stock y bushings are quite hard. Itching to try the beta bushings that arrived yesterday in them! |

| haha that's awesome. I've yet to have any true urethane wheels. I was super depressed when I heard Wrinklers were plastic. I have a mini torx set that will hopefully negate the bushing issue myself as I didn't get the tool either. |

| Got the hubba for the fourset done! Curing in the form The photo doesn't show it well, but after a sand and polish it's now as smooth as marble! Just needs sealing now =https://s45.photobucket.com/user/c0nc3pt/media/tmp_17581-20151122_1405231039273911.jpg.html] [/URL] |
