first, try not to double post, just edit your first one second, when it comes to pop shuvits, try to pop and when you pop, slide your front finger up and have it almost catch on the nose

Keep your fingers and wrist level with the deck at all times in this trick, your varial heels come from your fingers catching the edge of the deck as it pops, or rotating you wrist as you pop. Place your back finger to the side you want to popshuvit (fs or bs, I mean) and pop slightly at an angle, this gives the board an amount of rotation from the beginning, then give your wrist a little twist (like you would for a 180). I also find having your front finger placed closer to the tail than for an ollie helps to stop the board flipping, done perfectly you can feel the board rotating under your front finger in mid-air, which is awesome.

kinda relax in the air whilst doing a ollie, the slightest movement will trigger the shuv, too much will go into varial though
