Worth every single penny. Seriously. For the few flaws some people have complained about.. as long as you don't change your trucks onto a new deck every week, the baseplates are perfect. AND with BRR edition wheels, theres no smoother combination of wheel + truck around. AND the difference of grinding these compared to td trucks is crazy. In short, if you're serious about fingerboarding, and want to step up your setup, get some. I'd never ride another pair of trucks. happy

i had some, i hated them :L i didnt see the point tbh, so much more money when they do the same job as tech deck trucks, yeah they look abit cooler but imo, the axels are pointlessly short. which is why i got rid of mine, but i guess people have different opinions

i have brr trucks 2 pair actually. they are good trucks i haven't had any problems with either pair.but i honestly like my y trucks a little more for the lock feature on the bolts and the kingpins that can easily be loosen without fear of it falling off. but in that same regard, it really doesn't matter what you ride as long as your comfortable with your set up.

Not really when miniaturisation is one of the most expensive technologies in the world. That + what grant said + a teeny bit of blackriver mark things up so they can afford to do SOO much for fingerboarding = the price. And believe me, its worth it. I've heard from a bunch of people FF brr edition wheels aren't that great, so, yea, get winklers or substance. happy

PostSubject: Re: BRR Trucks?   BRR Trucks? EmptyWed Oct 20, 2010 12:07 pm

i think brr trucks are great. but expensive. i wouldn't ride anything else though, and i guess im lucky that i sold my mum to afford my sets.

they do have their problems though, and tbh i think most of them come from people who dont know how 2 use them properly.....things like not putting the wheels on properly, having the axle centered, and the one most people get wrong is they put the bushings in the wrong way, meaning the brt work like crap, so people sell them cos they think they are not that great....(hhhh hmmmm Rafi) tongue (thanks by the way, i picked them up) happy

but yeah they are expensive. but i wouldn't ride nothing else........

i had y trucks, and they are great trucks, but they are just soooooooo heavy. to heavy for me. i couldn't ride them and sold my 3 sets.

They are melted metal poured into a mold.
mold probably cost a few hundred dollars to make.

they would need more than 1 mold for them though.....80,000 sounds a lot to me too for a mold, but is probably not far off the actual cost of everything to set them up/ make them....

ive spent about 500 uk pounds on setting up my deck company so far......and i have not sold any....im still perfecting them..

come on 80K to make molds for fingerboard trucks? just how many of them do you think they are selling?

you could make your own trucks with wax molds and for less than 50$ just like making jewelry

you would have to glue the nuts if you used dual bearing wheels on brts, but if you get single bearing 'brr ed' wheels no glue is needed happy

and bobby, go for it...you could be onto a winner? wink

you know blosom the problem with the wax mold thing is you would have to individually carve each one. Geez that would get old quick.

and in all fairness to have a proper mold for that sort of work probably would cost more like 3-5K per mold, but i couldn't imagine they would need more than 3-4 molds.

why dont you ask brr how many 'molds' they have for their trucks and ask them how much they are/ were?

i think brts are overpriced, but as to the equipment used to make them and how much it costs? why not believe what comes from the horses mouth? after all brr are good guys?

honestly i would call them expensive ,but i wouldn't say over priced really because they are truly a unique product.
how ever many molds they have or whatever that's clearly something somebody put some effort into happy
