something needs to be done about you know who.......this place is getting really great again recently with lots of legit new members, but we are getting the 'jokers' back and its just going to make this place worst for everyone....i know i dont want to be reading threads full of people pretending........i think we need to do some sort of application now with this place like fbc and ffi.....cos it is getting popular here, and the only way to stop the jerks, is to not let them in........i wonder what the point was with fbc and ffi when they said, 'look enough is enough' lets stop the holdejerks and have applications'.....it might be a headache setting up....(for Kerry) but, it would make us mods life's so much easier and rid the place of the fakers.......

i was thinking that earlier, but, imo it would stop people wanting to sign up, because like, idk, as if you have to be special or well known to be on here

i dont think it would too much really......it would be like fbc or ffi, an email that you send too, and then a mod can check out other forums/youtube etc?......+ anyone who wants to be on and make an effort will make the effort to email imo...

Yeah that sounds good to me. I'm just staying here though, I've tried making an effort to the other forums, and I never got an answer back or I couldn't find the right email. So I find this place. So we'd have to make better applying support cuz it sucks on the other forums.

I think we actually need to work out a way to do this, rather than just 'email'. And, yea, I do work 5 days a week, so I don't know how we'd do this, except set up a 'new members join' email address, give blosom the password as well as myself, and we can split the work adding people?

It means a) making a huge change to the forum, and b) promoting blosom. I'm totally fine with B, not 100% sure on A.. BUT, harvey, if he ever came around, would have my ass on a platter for doing something ELSE without his permission. And he just never replies to PMs. If we were to do anything, I'm not taking the shit on my own. What would we do if harvey got totally annoyed and demoted me + blosom? Then we'd even less power here, wouldn't even be able to IP ban people..

Its a tough situation, we need a really solid idea before anything happens.

yeah.....its harvey again.......i dont mind taking care of the new members and researching them etc, but again its more work......all for the sake of 1 main idiot.

Other forums I've been to, you have to have 10 or 20 post before you can make your own threads, doing something like would give everybody time to weed people out before they made whole dumb ass threads everywhere.

And it would be obvious if it was H****n trying to get 10 posts too, so if that's possible, that would probably work.

kerry, your idea, set up one email adress,
me, you, and blosom have the password to it, then say if we each have 2 days out of the week to check the adress, check youtube's and whatever of the person signing up, then we send you a pm of the ones to allow and the ones to decline, that way theres 3 of us on the job, and harvey wont put your head on a stick

@blosom. im an admin now on fbs and its not possible.. actually it might be but itd be kindof a hassle

Why not have a registration like Demonoid? You can't sign up a second account through the same ip address.

i agree this sounds like a good idea

the best solution is like you guys pointed out, make the people register and if they really do want to be a part of the forum then they will get of their asses and make the effort to at least sign up. you should all do it, the 3 of you that way harvey wont wanna kill kerry because of it, i dont want this forum to die its such a nice lively place!
