I would like to know if they are legit. If you've had any problems with them in the past. Shipping time from France. Are they a good company overall compared to other companies.
Thanks

shipping: mine took 4 weeks but normally it is a lot faster. deck: 27mm high kicks/concave nice graphics not the best to start with because of the shape trucks: not the normal china trucks but single axle trucks in sick colors (mine alredy hab scraces before I opend them which was realy weird) wheels: printed urethane wheels which are nice for non bearing wheels.

I'm not a huge fan of their decks, but the kids i teach fingerboarding love the ones Close Up were so kind to sponsor us.
The problem i have with the decks is that they are a bit rough, and the shape is hard for me to use.
The trucks and wheels are great. All in all you get a great setup for a low price.

Long boring story of my experiences with Close Up
I'm sponsored by them but even before this, I've always been extremely happy with the service and quality with Close Up. They've also regularly given me gifts with my orders.
I purchased my first ever wooden fingerboard, a Close Up G1, in 2008. The G1 pack was similar to the current ones and they also gave me some really large Close Up stickers plus extra small stickers on top of the sticker sheet you get in each pack. Was really happy with those stickers.
I read an announcement for Close Up G2s being made (I think on FFI or TD forums) and emailed Close Up to see if I could get one. Being the nice people they are, I managed to buy a Close Up G2 white skull hand graphic a few weeks before they went on sale in the webstore. It was my first graphic deck.
They also released their original bearing wheels around this time and I bought a set of them too, I can't believe they were like €10.90 and they're still my favourite wheels. Also, I got some nice medium sized stickers.
I hadn't followed the fingerboard scene for a while because I really didn't like FFI at the time. Earlier in 2011, Close Up sponsored CS3 and I won a G3 red skull hand deck in the raffle. I also got to try out Close Up benches and a G4 complete from people who brought them. Euan Lynn, who was on Close Up at the time, gave me a G3 Nomad deck. I think it was Thom that gave me some spare Close Up griptape for my deck too. I liked these things so I decided to make a purchase after the long break.
I bought myself a Close Up marble bench, G3 Heroin board and a G4 black skull hand graphic board (since I already had the wood G1, white G2 and red G3). After emailing Manu, I was really happy that Manu would sell me the bench and G4 as a set price before actually putting the bench + G4 sets on the webstore. He also agreed to send me some spare G2 trucks when I asked which was really nice considering I bought my G2 board a couple of years before.
Unfortunately, I got sent a red deck instead of the black one I wanted. I emailed about it and Manu said he'd send me the correct deck. After a few weeks of not getting it, we figured it was lost in the post and Manu said he'd send me another one again. After a week, I got the correct deck... except it was the whole G4 complete and not just the deck. On top of that, I also got another G3 red skull hand deck as a free gift, including a load of medium sized stickers. Pretty awesome, haha. Oh, and Manu also said he saw my video in an email which is pretty cool.
Oh, I also bought a set of their current bearing wheels at this point. They come with free truck hangers and they also included some stickers.
Being a fingerboard collector, I wanted to have a load of setups actually set up so I emailed Manu to see if they'd ever sell metal core wheels separately. Seemingly out of nowhere he replies and asks me if I would join the team. I didn't agree at first saying that I would prefer boards with matching trucks and decks. Seeing the reply that they will look into working on it for the next generation, I didn't mind going for the ride. I've always supported Close Up, like skinny decks and no one else sponsored me in 11 years so I'm happy.
My sponsor pack came after a few weeks. To be fair, I was not expecting a box that big. I think I will just post my combined unboxing + welcome video just to show you...
Seriously crazy sponsor pack there, especially for a newbie who only just joined the team.
Anyway, just to note here, my orders all took between 1-2 weeks from France to the UK. The only problem I had was that one replacement G4 that went missing but they sent another one that arrived a week after they said they'd sent it which was fine. I've had no serious problems with the quality of the products except one G2 truck. Considering all the stuff I've received, this is a pretty decent record.
I like Close Up as they sell everything you need for a complete board, plus they have obstacles and shirts. They also support the UK scene as well as loads of events in other countries and online international ones too.
TL;DR - So yeah, I've had plenty of really good experiences with Close Up and they've got the best customer service I have ever experienced.
Edit: This was a very fitting 1500th post for me.

I personally hated the G1 but they seemed to have improved.
Yeah, the G1 was 3 generations ago.
G1 -> G2 = decks gained graphics, longer wheelbase, trucks were painted, griptape improved, bushings improved. G2 -> G3 = decks were changed to 5 ply, kicks were raised, concave might also have increased, bushing system improved, foam grip included, middle and top plies are dyed, wheels were printed. G3 -> G4 = deck width increased to 27mm, truck width increased to 29mm, some colours of trucks changed, bushing system improved, graphic application method changed.
Something along these lines.

Probably. Although I bought it just because I wanted a wooden deck and the price was quite attractive for a complete, plus I always missed the BWOM regular stocks. I'll admit they weren't the best boards although Mike could do loads of tricks on them in his video. I've also used my G1 in a few videos last year, it's great for darkslides haha.

When i got my first close up I hated the bloody thing! But then it grew on me. I believe they are not the best quality or the best performance deck by a long shot, also if your a beginner then i would also not go for a close up. However with that said i now love my close up decks i have a G3 and a G4 the reason i love riding them ---- Because they are fun they have a very cool shape with deep concave and there a pretty unique deck overall with a unique feel! i wouldn't recommend a close up for its performance but if your looking for a deck thats got a bit of personality then fo sure pick on up.
In regards to the service, To australia from france i have always had my package within 2 weeks and well packaged.
One last point . . . . The marble bench is one of my favourite obstacles and highly recommend it even if you dont get a deck!!!
