Northwoods is a fingerboard company that brings plenty of innovation to the table. Our decks are 100mm long and 29mm wide. They feature a one of a kind concave we call SWEETridge. This finger hugging concave contains a ridge of sweet spots between the trucks. Easily lock in to your positions to set up for your tricks. Our beautiful boards also feature the POWERline core which is twice as dense as maple. This strengthens the shape throughout and offers tremendous POP! We call this board the BIGSTIC and it is on sale and available now complete with trucks and open-bearing wheels for $25. We are mad scientist when it comes to our passion for fingerboarding. Check out our website northwoodsfb.com Northwoods performance fingerboardsExpect many more great things to come out of Northwoods including artist feature boards and a ramp division.

It is very easy to order decks from China but we choose not to. In order to have control over every aspect of our design we make them from scratch. Our shape is cast from a CAD designed by yours truly and precision milled in 5150 steel to be perfect. Every single deck is made by hand right here in the US. Everyone likes their own trucks and wheels and we know this. You can purchase the deck alone. We offer mid level trucks based on a hex bolt design and entry level wheels with bearings. This hardware is available to purchase at very affordable rates. We just offer them. We recommend the more experienced rider use his or her current wheels. Our top priority is a functional deck that last. We make that by hand in the USA. Over 6 hours go into each board. China doesnt print the side, they dont offer innovations or changes. They only offer what we see as "medium kick, medium concave" that is not Northwoods. Im actually flattered because Chinese boards are machine cut, my are shaped by hand, pressed one at a time. We have been at this a while but it takes a trademark a little while to go through. Northwoods offers complete fingerboards, as seen, to satisfy trademark regulations in order to stay legitimate. If you dont like the shape, thats ok, we are different. But not Chinese. I am an American following my passion

Edges of the board are very square, maybe you should sand them a bit to a roundish shape.

Thanks for the input Grendel. We welcome opinions from the fb community. The rounding is a little tricky around some of our curves without sanding critical surface. So we bevel all of our boards by hand now and we have reduced the overall thickness about 10-!5% since that pic was taken for the website. It takes a little more time but it is worth it for the final product. Our decks are only $30-35 and we put a lot of sweat into each one. We are in a constant state of improvement but that is part of the fun.

I dunno man :/ Your decks look really nice, the shape is pretty cool but you wont get any sales at that price if you're a new company, and you should probably stop selling those china wheels because when you did your little picth at the start it looked like the deck was china because the rest was

Danny, we have plans for a second shape in a few months that lower the kick about 2-3 degrees but not really the concave. We love the way it feels. The lower kick will be for those who dig that style profile. Thousands of dollars went into our current steel casting die and we are very pleased with the way they skate. A second casting die wont be near as expensive now that we have our own CAD programs in house, but it will still be upwards of $1000. We have used many different materials to mold in the past but it all fails. For boards this solid only steel will do, we are spoiled. Hopefully it will be soon for you and others with the same taste.

I "pitch" my boards because I believe in them. The trucks and wheels get the job done. I understand the China assumption but I have to offer them to satisfy trademark regulations. We have plans to make our own pure metal trucks and bearing wheels, but until we can afford the necessary equipment to make the quality we want, this will have to do.

Do you have a team?I agree that the kicks of the board look high and most people dont like high kicks if you could make the kicks lower I,m sure you will get buyers but thats my opinion

Thanks Peter A. We experimented with many different kicks for over a year before we invested in this shape. Some kids might not like it and some might. It is the chance we have to take with our first shape. So many other companies offer the same shape. We bring many new unique things to the table. Everyone that has touched these boards has loved them...
