| Why is the FFI registration closed/only by invite? If were trying to make fingerboarding bigger then it already is, should we not let everybody join? Your opinions...

It would let too many undesirable people in. If you've seen TD forums, there are a lot of little kids with no sense of grammar, spelling or forum etiquette and will likely bring about flame wars. They could use inappropriate language, promote shady companies, spam, create illegible posts, post gigantic pictures, bump old topics, quadruple post with excessive smilies. Now obviously, I'm not saying every new user acts in such a manner but there has to be restrictions on entry. FFI has always maintained a high standard of posts from its filtered members. It is not too hard to get in if you wait for the appropriate times of open registration or by gaining a referral in other manners if you prove yourself worthy to the fingerboarding scene. Also, Holden would make a billion accounts and shit all over the place if it was always open. I see FBHQ as a great alternative to FFI with a much nicer community. You might not have all these well known fingerboarders on here that kids idolise but what you do have is a very friendly haven for fingerboarders that does not discriminate between your race, religion, fingerboarding skill or your genitalia. Although you do not get as much information on new things as FFI does, with FBHQ's partnership with Unite, you can just read up on all the news there and enjoy this place for all the friendly people. Don't be bummed if you aren't on FFI, FBHQ is a great place too. Miaow. |

| Xi more or less said it all..
When i first came to FFI many years ago it was an awesome place, where people were helped by the loads of relavant threads there were..
Today its almost useless. I think FBHQ appears much more useful and is to me a better forum.. |

| I love FFI, but its exclusivity, caused by wanting to keep the place free from kids who'd just troll and stuff, and also partly to do with costs I hear, has become the bane of it. Some kids on their have gained this bullshit elitist view that they're better because they're on there, and now its just not as fun as it used to be. I love here more, here is home for me. I'll always be here. Xi said it all, basically here + unitefingerboarding = all you need for fingerboarding |

| I would wanna be on FFI if i could but It seems a lot more fun here where people can be themselves and use sarcasim, have a sense of humor. When I look at the FFI forum it seems like its a lot more serious. Fingerboarding isn't serious it's fun(: |

| I really want to be on FFI; but here, I feel accepted. I mean, with all the celebs over there, who wouldn't wanna be on FFI? Yet I feel really welcome here. Like I know everyone personally. We're one big family with our own little roles.
Of course, I'd still like FFI, but FBHQ + Unite= Complete package. |

| The people on FFI are just ordinary people. Of course there are some of the company owners who posts some interesting news, pics or contests.. But it's really nothing amazing. |

| Even though i probably prefer FFI over FBHQ i still think the elitism on FFI has gotten out of hand over the years, when i started it was really chill and all but now its just " if you're not no comply or BRR or homewood or flatface we'll ignore you" |

| I didn't like the elitism I saw going on there so I didn't even bother trying to get in. I'm a really relaxed person and I do things because they interest me... not because I want to garner attention. Even though this site was based in the UK I just felt like it was the right place to be. FBHQ is the shit and always will be. |

| FFI is fucking great. There are lots of good discussions in lots of topics, not just fingerboarding. There are a lot more older members active there, and it's just great. People have always complained about it. You don't get many replies on video threads, that's the only thing. On FBHQ you get a lot more. This site looks a lot better now but it's still a free forum and has its issues. Not hating on this place or anything, I think it's good too, but FFI is much more well rounded than here. |

| I guess it's all a matter of personal preference... Some are tuned to FFI some are tuned to FBHQ. Also FBHQ is a lot smaller from FFI... A better smaller knit community in my opinion, everyone seems to get along a lot nicer and there's a lot of support for the newbies. Just as long as everyone keeps shredding their index and middle is the real deal though. |

| I don't have an account on FFI but I like reading the threads/posts just like that I suppose fingerboarders just want to have an account there because it's bigger and there's a lot of famous fingerboarders Plus, I like FBHQ better because there's more support to newbies and everyone is more friendlier |

| I don't know...
It seems to me that even though they might be preventing a couple of kids who ''don't know how to spell'' or ''bother the community'', they are stopping people who truly believe in fingerboarding and really do love it to join their forums. Making restrictions doesn't only cut out little kids, it cuts out people who are serious about fingerboarding, who might not have youtube videos or own their own company. |

| if you are a serious fingerboarder you WILL get on FFI....but to be honest this place kills it...... rules are their for a reason. i wish there were more rules from FFI here tbh. also if your a 'serious' fingerboarder why would you waste all your time on the forums??? shouldn't you be doing what you love??? i guarantee once you get access to FFI you will fingerboard less and type more  |

Honestly, I like it here more, but FFI, some people don't like me
Some people on there are cool, some are not. but I remember on yesterday when Evan Williams called me the biggest hypocrite on the forum. I just ignore little pricks (excuse my language) like him.
But as I was saying, FFI isn't all that bad, most of you should try to get signed up, because your only saying your opinion of the forum, but you never really experienced it yet. |
