| I did decide to put a dollar limit on my purchases. I believe $50 is a good start.
I would like to try the bearing wheels and try to get a decent set up IF possible.
Here are a few options I came across:
-Northwoods new era combo ($58.99)
-Flatface G12 complete ($59.99)
I also really like the Homewoods decks.
I could go with a homewoods deck and the northwoods trucks and new era wheels and foamy greatness tape from Homewoods.
Now if I go with a homewoods deck what size/set up with the wood plies would you choose?

| well i would advise you against the new era wheels. they are from a company named zshred that gets their wheels wholesale from china, so you wont get the best quality. if you really want to experience good bearing wheels they arent your best bet. thats why i feel the flatface complete would be the best option.
for the homewood, id recommend a middle of the road width of 30mm. its not wide, and its not skinny. the mold i would personally go for is the M5 because its near identical to a berlinwood mold. the woods dont matter, its all based on colour preference really. the maple is the strongest and gives better pop so i would have the top and middle ply be maple just because of that. it doesnt make tooooo much of a difference though. |

| I think the flatface complete may be my best option since its only $59.99.
Do you think the flatface complete is a decent set up for the price plus the G6 wheels are a decent bearing wheel for the price.
Is this a medium kick/medium concave deck? |

| Flatface is one of the best wheel companies in the world and the G6 is their most popular wheel so yeah you are getting a bearing wheel far better than decent The deck is good, although some people dont enjoy it. Its really all preference, but i would consider them semi-pro decks if berlinwood was pro. the deck is medium kicks and low concave. very low concave some people like that though because it doesnt spin out of control as much. its definitely your best bet, because it comes with flatface teflon bushings and riptape all ready to go. |

| I've never skated a a FlatFace but I would recommend getting one because of the positive remarks everyone gives it.
As for anything Zshred related; don't get it. I bought a Zshred complete and it had new era wheels. Long story short; zshred is shit.

| Don't get a Northwood deck and don't get New Era wheels. They're both mass produced Chinese crap. Support the real scene - companies like Flatface, Homewood, Berlinwood... whatever. Flatface G12s are medium kicks, mellow concave. They're great decks. G6Ds are some of the best wheels ever too haha. Seriously. If I were you I'd either get the FF complete, or I'd get a Homewood and dump trucks + G6Ds from Flatface. |

| Thanks for the advice everyone! I just ordered a flatface complete. At least it'll give me a real set up to start with and get used to FBing with something other than a tech deck.
Thanks again for the advice and I can't wait to receive it and try it out.
I look forward to posting more and getting to know the community!

Have you been into FBing before and just new to the forums here are new to FBing in general?
I really think I'll be happy with the flatface complete. I read some reviews on the G6 wheels and everyone says they are really good and the G12 decks are good as well so it'll be a good combo to get me started. Decks are realitively cheap its just the professional trucks and smooth bearing wheels that are expensive. |

I guess now that I'm in highschool and have more money its easier too stay connected in the scene |

| I'm glad you came back to it. This forum is amazing and everyone in the FBing community is really nice and more than willing to help in any way it seems which is amazing.
I just wish I had a little more cash to spend on FBing but at least I'll have a decent set up to get me started and to let me try a REAL set up instead of the tech deck's lol. |
