| So, once upon a time i had a deck company. This company was named 'Bubble'. A brain-child of myself and other old guy Martin Illsley back in 2005. In 2008, returning to active online mischief i managed to get Bubble going by way of FF. One series, one year, pretty good run. I closed down for multipule reasons in 2009, revamped and finally in a very good place. All questions will be answered in the FAQ of this post. THE FAQIsnt that like Almost??! D:< : Why yes, it is. ;D If it hasnt been known by NOW then it certainly is known.. well.. now. Rodney Mullen has been a large inspiration of mine from the very beginning of my fingerboarding venture. I figured that if i were to run a company, id like it to be comfortable and fun for me. So, a homage to Mullen... Kinda. Who is making the decks!? : I can tell you its not me. Actually, its Todd. You know Todd right? While im no good with making decks other people would like, obviously he is! Keep a look out. When simular brains work together for fingerboard performance... everyone wins! ;D Isnt that what the same thing you and Mike did?? : Kinda. ;D Difference here is that the decks come from an original mold. Unused, new, etcetc. A Kinda board wont have the same shape as a NC. You can indeed buy them off No Comply's website! IS THERE A TEAM? CAN I TRY OUT?? : There is a team and its building. Right now, its myself and Leer. Ive my eye on a few riders and they will be contacted soon. Also, no try outs... i will come to you. Just film, film, film, and be a nice person. Seriously, personality goes a long way with me. This is a trick. Can i see some product? :p : Well yeah, alright. Scroll down. Ignore the "proto" writing there. Thats totally the shape. HOW MUCH ARE THEY?? : $25! That is 7 bucks cheaper than the old Bubble board price tag of $32. Quite frankly a steal for such a quality deck with a great shape(and even greater pop, by the way.)

| Statement about the decks from me, Deshawn. - Quote :
- "When i run a company or create a product, i do so with the intent to bring to you something that i personally would use. Trendy sells, however, i find that if i am honest with you and provide you a product that i actually enjoy using, then would you realize that my heart and mind is completely placed in whatever i produce. Having said that, this deck is created from specs based on my technical riding. When i view a deck for riding, anything with high kicks or concave introduces more leverage that you actually do not need for technical riding. For this style, the focus point is not to go huge but to sync lines together and flow as you would if you were to move your hand through the air. There is a center of gravity that comes from a mellow shape, a very relaxing setting for your fingers that can settle into place without the added height different from higher kicks. With this shape, i hope that i can show you what technical riding FEELS like."

| I swear I posted to this thread. Anyway, I just wanted to say: the decks are awesome if you like low kick decks. I also wanted to ask what happened to your team? |

| Everything looks cool, but I don't see the satisfaction you get out of not making the decks, or marketing them, it's like you're a team rider who has made himself the owner but still does the job of a team rider :/ |

I never honed the craft of deck making. In fact, literally making decks annoyed me. Its not something i care to do. At all. I do know what makes a deck perform a certain way although i do not know how to make it look "pretty". Todd finds more joy in working with his hands, creating decks and the sort. Working with him is amazing. He supports me, and vice versa. Take any skate company owner and ask them if they actually make their boards by hand. They dont. The day to day management of the team, videos, graphics, designs, sites... THATS what i like doing. Making decks i do not. Id rather just ride like a maniac. For me, making the deck isnt what i seek satisfaction from. Its the message behind the company. If the message i try to put out through the riders i pick, the shapes, etc.. is out and received; im more than happy. If people take notice and support Kinda and NCD and ultimately Todd; im extremely happy. Thats whats more important to me. |
