Do you mean before or after concreting? The plastic seems to be doing a good job so far. I think the concrete will wear out my wheels faster than the plastic will. |

After it's dry, put it at the bottom of the riding surface because there might be chips there and you don't want to run over it on your wheels. |

That's what the plastic is for I've just stuck the base pieces down for my half pipe. I've got some ideas for features that I haven't seen before in fingerboarding. There may be a very good reason for that, we'll see . |

| Thanks It's still got a bit of work to be done, I'm going to put at least two more layers of concrete on this time before sanding. Second layer will go on this afternoon hopefully. |

Haha, yea, it was on purpose. It started with the extension piece; I was playing around with different ideas for extensions and I found a scrap of polystyrene that had this beautiful dip on one edge, which gave me the idea for the wall bowl. Once everything was stuck down I sketched the shape of the bowl onto the face of the quarter pipe and carved it out with a flexible saw blade. |

| One question, how do you want to add a coping? |

Great minds think alike That was the plan. For the coping, I have cut lengths of aluminium rod which will be set in place with the last layer of concrete, or maybe after it has dried. Then once it's set I remove the rod, which leaves a perfectly shaped shelf to add contact adhesive to and then restick the rod in place; Voila! Coping! I'll take lots of photos of that stage so you can see what I mean. |
