file or sandpaper would be easyer

BRT trucks have a different...geometry(? not sure what other word to use) so you're not going to be able to make them exactly like BRTs.

I guess using a dremel (if you had one) would make it tons easier. Between files and sandpaper though, I vote files.

id use a dremel to get rid of the bulk, then a small flat file for shaping.

Yeah, a dremel or rotary tool would be best! You can polish them off with it too

You could also use needle files, takes a lot longer though.

I hand shape them with a small metal file. You can get a set of small files for like £5.

I also saw a video someone posted on here a while back with an interesting method. If you have a portable power drill, you could remove the drill bit and put in the truck axle in its place. Make sure you've taken the baseplate/kingpin/bushings off it so it's just the hanger. Then turn the drill on to make sure the hanger/axle is spinning on a straight axis and is relatively secure. If not, align it correctly. Then, turn the drill on and press the file against the parts of the hanger you want to shape. This is if you want hangers that are cylindrical like BRTs.

Just use a small file. It will probably be easier if you have a dremel but I wouldn't recommend buying one just for shaping trucks.

Dremels are useful for other things too. Always nice to have around.
